Round 1: Mayorga is more aggressive and catches Vargas late in the round with a left hook. Vargas goes down for an 8 count. Mayorga, 10-8.

Round 2: Mayorga again imposes his will over Vargas. A series of straight rights continue to drive Vargas back. Mayorga, 20-17.

Round 3: Mayorga's left hook backs up Vargas. Another left to his chin puts him into the ropes. But Vargas is more assertive later in the round. Is Mayorga tiring? Mayorga, 30-26.

Round 4: Vargas' right-left-right combination stuns Mayorga. Vargas counters throughout with left hooks. Vargas wins the round, 10-9. Mayorga leads, 39-36.

Round 5: Vargas lands a big right hook and is more composed throughout the round. Vargas, 10-9. Mayorga leads, 48-46.

Round 6: Vargas and Mayorga exchange big punches. Mayorga takes the most punishment. Vargas' right-hand leads stuns Mayorga late. Vargas, 10-9. Mayorga leads, 57-56.

Round 7: A cut over Vargas' left eye begins to bleed. A right cross from Mayorga wobbles Vargas, slowing his punch rate. Vargas takes numerous power shots. Mayorga gains confidence. Mayorga, 10-9. Mayorga leads, 67-65.

Round 8: Mayorga gets cocky, throwing solid combinations. Vargas ends the round with a straight cross, his only good shot of the round. Mayorga's best shot lands after the bell. Mayorga, 10-9. Mayorga leads, 77-74.

Round 9: Mayorga and Vargas exchange combinations, both sets landing. Vargas gets the better of the action. Mayorga looks lethargic late in the round, unable to keep his hands up. Vargas, 10-9. Mayorga leads, 86-84.

Round 10: The round opens with flurries by both fighters. Vargas reasserts his dominance. Mayorga is definitely tiring, his face is swelling. Vargas, 10-9. Mayorga leads, 95-94.
