Yep, watching it in slo-mo it defintely looks like he was heading through the ropes, however once he realises he was headed out he exaggerated the fall by pushing himself. The monitor also clearly hits his back, not his head yet he is grabbing his head.
My friend you need to watch again. He clearly misses the monitor completely. Watch again right around 5:03
The only thing he hits is the edge of the canvas, there's one angle where you can see his right shoulder hit it.
Thats the bottom line. Who gives a **** whether Cintron's legs got tangled with Williams or not, bottom line is that through his own admission, at some point while he was laying there he gathered his wind and felt fine, but still chose to inexplicably lay there with his face to the groundl. Then when the come in the the gourney, Cintron lets them turn him face up as if he could'nt do it himself, as if he could'nt feel his legs and was paralyzed from the waist down. I'm sorry, but even if its so my family at ringside and at home does'nt have to worry, if I feel I'm OK at that point, I'm getting up whether the doctor OK's it or not.
Exactly. His argument was that he wanted to keep fighting and he should have been given five minutes. What a pile of BS. He didn't put an ounce of effort into getting up and showing it. He knew what he was doing the whole time. Scamartist. And I actually think the momentum MIGHT have helped throw him out of the ring. But scumbags like this look for conviniences like that. On second thought, the doctors vicegrip definitly held him down so he couldn't move.
what i saw was his left calf. look at how it springs back - then explodes out- leaping him out of the ring. his bodies momentum from the tangling would result in him landing somewhere on the rope- but you can see he deliberately launches himself with his left leg. i know some people are saying what kind of guy can make that kind of split second decision to throw a fight in order to get a NC , in order to try and win the fight- nobody is that devious or malprogrammed. I think so too- but if anyone is capable- its this ****er cintron.
The one thing i would say to that is that if a guy is predisposed to that sort of behavior, he would do it. He wouldn't have time to think about it, but he wouldnt need to. It would be his first instinct. That being said, I don't know whether he did that, I'm just saying.
and what kind of arguement is that anyway? some people here say 'how could he make that decision with only a few seconds?' you don't need to think about doing something ****ing stupid!! you just do it. why do you think he was banging on the ambulance door, cause he knew he ****ed up, he wasn't hurt, he could have at least tried to get up, he could have lied to the doc and said im fine, give me a minute (not say OW MY BACK or I CANT BREATHE like an idiot), he could have done anything to continue fighting, he made a ***** move and he knows it
whether the jump was real or not is beside the point. The point is he lay there pretending to be injured like a *****.
errr....im agreeing with you that this guy is ****ed and that he did it. this guy is the typical bed wetter, kid with a sick note, gotta go home early from work cos he has a sore thumb, kind of dude. we all know people like this who have an instinct to get out of **** - and do it without thinking. im just surprised that a guy like that has gotten this far already. most people like that live at home with their mommys and play video games all day. kinda sad- cos the guy has so much natural talent- but no disposition to use it to its potential. he could have won the fight is the thing- goes to show - its all about heart. upon looking at it again at all speeds and all angles- i have no doubt the dude launched himself on purpose. a mans first instinct is to save himself from harm- he could have done any number of things to stop that fall, used his arms against the ropes, fallen earlier , dropped his momentum , etc, only a man who wants to fall that way - falls that way. it was almost comical how perfectly he dived thru those ropes and landed. the consequent- " i want to quit"- then once the fight was called off- "i dont want to quit!" only re-inforced this guys ****edness.
True, but if the coward is ballsy enough to quit like a chump in front of all those people live and live on HBO then he is ballsy enough to throw himself out of the damn ring for God knows why, the damn fool
i dont understand how anybody can defend this type of behavior, boxing looked like a joke on Saturday night HBO. the commentators were mind boggled for what had just happened, it was embarassing for us all!
