    My vote goes to Hagler.

He has dominated a weightclass packed with a lot of quality fighters.

Jones won more titles, yes. But lacks a lot of meaningful fights that will warrant him serious consideration to be ranked higher on the P4P ATG list.

I place Jones just within the top 40.

with jones, the argument is that he WOULD have beaten those considered the best fighters in the weight classes that he fought. had they fought.

with hagler, he DID beat the best fighters in his weightclass, and left no stones unturned as to his dominance of his division during is reign.

so it depends on your criteria, is perception and opinion greater than reaity.

Great poll, i choose Jones slightly over Hagler. Hagler has the better resume but p4p in their prime Jones is better and has a handful of impressive names defeated.

I'm as big of an RJJ as they come, but no way can Roy be put ahead of Hagler. Hagler's resume is unbelievable.

Wait, I misread the title. If we're talking p4p and not quality of opposition, then Roy for sure.

Hagler based on resume. I have Hagler at about #20, Jones at about #28. Based on skill and dominance, it would have to be Jones, but Hagler never had a down point in his career and beat the best constantly. I think Jones could've(could) beaten him, but I base the majority of my rankings on resume/accomplishments.

You're a bit off....Jones also faced McCallium, not only an HoF but an ATG, and he faced Hill, who is not an ATG but easily in the HoF. So there are 5 HoF on his resume.

Hagler was tougher, Jones more skilled. Hagler beat better opponents though, so I've gone with him.

I rate Hagler higher as an ATG, because I think resume wise and accomplishment wise, he is just a bit higher than Jones. I think he beat a slightly higher level of competition, and I place alot of emphasis on dominating a weight class. He also was a lineal champion.

P4P I rate Jones higher. Here I put more emphasis on H2H regardless of weight, along with accomplishments and resume.
