I hear that there are rumblings from promoters up north concerning one particular referee that seems to have a passion for the limelight. Even his fellow officials are amazed at some of his, self backslapping statements. One comment I heard yesterday was, If he spent as much time on the night concentrating on reffing as he did running around hugging the who's who, maybe people wouldn't be talking about his behaviour. Then again, as one wag said, he absolutely loves the publicity. Good, bad or otherwise.
