Sadly, I haven't seen the Holmes-Ferguson and Holmes-Harris fights, but hope to one day. Holmes-Mercer is a classic.

Both comebacks were great to watch on those USA Tuesday Night Fights with Sean O'Grady and Al Albert. Miss those days.

Anyways, Foreman's return had more intrigue since he was coming for Tyson. I'm not sure we wanted to see Tyson-Holmes again, but Tyson-Foreman would have squashed all the rumors and put an end to the Foreman myth. How I wish that fight would have happened...

Charlie, you are still a young dude.... I have both fights on tape, but "Holmes-Fergy" is currently M.I.A. for some reason, but I have Holmes' close shave with a young Harris from 1997 on the side......

I miss the USA Tuesday night fights with Al Albert and Sean O'Grady.... REALLY!

Holmes is top-5 ATG stemming from 1887 to 2011.... WORD!

Jess Fergy did rock Holmes' world somewhere around the 4th round back in 1994, but Holmes held on to pull-out the decision over 10 rds.... I wanna find that damn fight for review.....

Holmes was greater and I think proved more in his comeback however, Foreman beating Moorer is the better win of all the comeback fights either guy had. Just because he won the title.

I think had Holmes and Foreman fought in '99 as planned, I'd have favored Holmes to win.... The fight was doable, even after a backer backed-out, but Foreman would NOT budge unless his full $10,000,000 clams was there.... Meanwhile, Holmes was willing to settle for $2.5 million which was down from the initial $4 million promise..... Holmes wanted to fight; Foreman didn't......... WORD!

Compared to today...**** YES. Don't you have a Klitschko fight on tape to beat off to?

I think Holmes would have out pointed Foreman in the 1990's. Holmes tired to make the fight several times. Foreman did not want it. I would say Foreman made more headlines in his comeback, but Holmes from a results perspective was just as good.

    Seems about right.

Any thoughts on what happens in a Mercer-Foreman showdown circa 92? Foreman was usually pretty good in his comeback against guys that didn't move away from him.

Foreman stops Holmes. Foreman is going to land on Holmes eventually and Holmes will go down. To Larry's credit, I don't think he will run away the whole time like others in George's comeback.
