btw, Holy has the reach advantage - so he may out-jab/counter Ibragimov in the early going...

True enough but Ibragimov has fought opponents who have HUGE size advantages over him; Austin, Whitaker and Briggs and he managed to make do.

BTW, I feel SI deserved a points win over Austin instead of a draw. It looked like he was going to KO Austin early though but it never happend.

Now that you mention it.....how long has Holyfield been in Russia......
.....there are certain countries where individuals dont take to the food their.
I hope this is'nt the case with Holyfield, or he could be in big trouble!

It does'nt seem the case though, when a person is sick, you can see it in their face. Holyfield's face looks fine!

Holyfield was serious when he said he worked really hard, he's ready to take Ibragimov's title. I'll be rooting for him.

But all except maybe Whitaker are way more slower than Holyfield plus Whitaker gassed out...Holyfield still seems to have a great stamina...

The one number Holy can't change is his age. People, reality check, the guy is shot and hasn't beaten a decent fighter in years and years.

Ibragimov is going to hammer him and possibly stop him late.

    Ibragimov tko 9.

I'm taking Holyfield. I think he'll lure Sultan into a war, which the Russian looking to make good in front of the home crowd will oblige.

No disrespect to Sultan, but I just think Holy's got "1 more" left in him, particularly as he's coming in so fit.

What did he weigh for Savarese?

What time does the fight start on the East Coast, USA?

    Ok, found the answers:

    1. Holyfield weighed 219 for Savarese, so he's 7.5 lbs lighter.

    2. Looks like the card starts at 1 PM Eastern Time. Nothing like some morning boxing on the west coast to get you in the mood for some college football. So what, maybe main event at like 3 PM Eastern Time, USA?

Damn, I forgot Sultan is a southpaw. Oh, boy, could be a long night for Evander (see Michael Moorer I).

Well, this could be the second consecutive fight I let my heart get the better of my head (Yes, I picked Barerra in the rematch with Pac -- DUMB!!!), particularly since Sultan is a lefty.

If Sultan stays disciplined, Holy will lose by a wide margain, IMO. I'm just betting Holyfield will be able to lure him into an alley brawl (with some headbutts and with the crowd wanting action), and that Holy siezes the moment.

Can't wait to see it, one way or the other. Only about 16 hours away!
