They weren't. Definitely not, but because they aren't the only ones means we shouldn't label them what they are?

    Guys who cheated?

You can lable them but I'm jsut saying don't let it twist what they have done in the sport. By all accounts what the've done are great feats and based MOSTLY on their talent, ability and skill level. And if what they say is true and that MOST are doping in the sport...whether they are caught or not....means that MOST are fighting on an even playing feild b/c BOTH sides would "typically" be on something. Therefore an even playing field where whoever won or will win would be based on their skills, talent and natrual ability.

If they were caught cheating lable them a cheat, but don't exclude the fact that they are not the only ones who are cheating...NO MATTER WHAT TESTS they take and pass. If they have the resources to cheat....they will not only cheat but pass ANY test out there today.

It should be 50/50,i dont understand Floyd sometimes,i dont think for a minute that he is scared to take the fight but he is the one making all the problems at 50/50 he is going to make a fortune so why make such a fuss, just get the fight sorted!

True....but there would be A LOT of tainted careers if they could prove without a shadow of a doubt everyone who has been doping. And I'm not talking about baseless rumors, accusations or lies that are without any proof or evidence.:verysad

Evander Holyfield is my favorite boxer/fighter of all time but I have to disagree with him.

Floyd is the bigger draw period and deserves a bigger share of the purse split.

Floyd's last fight did 1.4 million buys.
    Pacman's last fight did 700.

Floyd doubled Pacman's numbers in their last fight. You can even compare common opponents (Hatton, Marquez, De La Hoya) and Floyd still comes out on top. So if you follow the principle, a 50/50 split shouldn't work and won't work period.

If Pacman had doubled Floyd's numbers in their last fight we know they wouldn't settle for no 50/50 split. Cut the crap!

60/40 sounds about right but if I'm Floyd I'll take the 55/45 so the fans can see the fight happen.

Also, I want to address his point about who brings the bigger crowd. I believe Floyd brings the bigger crowd, because you have fans that pay to see him win (like myself) and you have fans that pay to see him lose too.

Floyd is NOT the bigger draw period. He's a bigger "US" PPV draw but not by much. In all honesty PAC shouldn't be anywhere near the level Floyd is regarding being a US PPV draw. Simply b/c PAC is NOT a US fighter...he doesn't even speak fluent english and not from a bordering country for that matter.

PAC PPV numbers with Josh were HELLA impressive. Sure it was eclipsed by Floyd and Shane b/c BOTH fighters are US fighters with FAAAR bigger names than Josh. So the numbers reflect that.

But When PAC beat FLoyd in PPV #'s when he beat Cotto and Floyd beat JMM and the fight was being negotiated for PAC vs Floyd, Manny didn't do what he could have done...which was to request the lions share based on the PPV#'s!

Floyd taking that stance now only has folks questioning whether or not he wants to fight PAC. Most question the entire blood testing demands and the allegations he helped spread without any evidence to support such strong statements.....

With Floyd causing yet ANTHER obstacle now that the ORIGINAL obstacle that stalled negoitations the first time (Olympic testing) is out of the way only makes it look like Floyd is trying to keep his undefeated record in tact.

If Pacman was a bigger draw then how come he didn't do better numbers against the same opponents?

You have to quit with the excuses and keep it real!

Of course Floyd doesn't want to lose that "0" on his record, who wouldn't? But I don't see Pacquiao being any bigger of a threat than Shane Mosely or Oscar De La Hoya. I don't even think Pacman is as good of a "boxer" than Mosely or De La Hoya so why would Floyd be so scared of a dude that is smaller than he is?

Floyd is going to get as much as he can out of the negotiations and then he's going to whoop Pacman just like he whooped all them other dudes he beat up on. Manny's head is going to be snapping back like Mosely's was.

I don't question Floyd wanting to fight Pacman, I know he does. He just wants whats due and that's the lions share of the purse (and a blood tests) like he should get. I seriously don't see Floyd being scared of a dude that is smaller than he is and he doesn't even hold any kind of physical advantage (reach, height, weight). If Manny comes at Floyd throwing all them wild flurries, he (Pacman) could end up getting knocked out like Ricky Hatton did when he his head bounced off of the corner ring post.

    You are right.
Holyfield and Foreman are two of the biggest chumps ever to have graced the square circle.
I know what he's trying to say, but he just can't get the words past his ignorant lips.

HE (Holyfield) may see Pac as the good guy, but others may see Mayweather in that role.

Regardless of what Holyfield says a 60/40 split will work, just wait and see. :good

DLH vs Floyd was a MEGA fight that broke all numbers b/c DLH at the time was still seen as a MAJOR player not only b/c of his great win in brutal fashion with Mayorga but also b/c he's the golden boy. Floyd at the time was the P4P King and VILLIAN that he relished. It was a perfect fight during the perfect time. Everything was lined up to be a successful fight. The economy was at a all time high and DLH never lost to Floyd before.

Ricky again...the economy was at a all time high and Ricky was undefeated as a fighter and moving up in weight to face Floyd at his divsion. Anther great fight with a "Good guy vs Bad guy" theme that sold well.

When PAC faught DLH and Ricky the fact that Floyd had already beaten them and the fact that the economy was in shambles created a harder market for the fight. Yet the numbers far exceeded expectations b/c everyone saw the PPV numbers in the US take a MAJOR hit with the other PPV events that were affected by the downfall of the economy.

If Floyd wasn't concerned or had reservations the fight would have already been made and the whole baseless accusations about Manny being on the "A side of Meff" wouldn't have been a topic.

Manny is by far more of a threat than DLH or Shane and Floyd knows that. Even if he dosen't say it his actions speak loud and clear. Floyd doesn't show he's concerned or has reservations about anyone he's faced in the past.....EXCEPT FOR PAC.:think

Excuses, period. If Manny was/is the bigger draw then his numbers would have been better than Floyd's against common opponents. So now you want to blame the economy? LOL

How about just keepin it real. Floyd is an undefeated fighter that's why he's the bigger draw. LOL at the economy...

And Manny is not "by far" more of a threat to Floyd than DLH was at 154. You have to be kiddin'....

Holyfield makes a good point, however i think Floyd is thinking, he is bringing those fans because of his bad guy attitude more so than because of Pac's good guy attitude, only im not sure thats right, people are hyped because they see Pacquaio, rightly or wrongly, of having a very good chance of upsetting him, plus, everyone deep down has a soft spot for Pacquaio because of the way he fights, so no, i would say Pac is brining more than enough to demand 50%.

Floyd deserves the bigger purse because he's the one that's putting his undefeated record on the line and the fans are showing up to either see him win or lose. Plus he's proven to be the bigger draw based on PPV numbers alone.

So when Holyfield and Tyson first met, did Holyfield get 50/50? I mean Holyfield was the good guy like Pacman is in this fight.

In their last two fights Pac has had double the number of fans than Mayweather has watching his fights live and on closed circuit. He will be bringing in more people to Vegas than Floyd will. That does merit some consideration in regards to the purse split.
