I will say I find it funny that some of you uber Klitschko fans are justifying the Rahman fight for Wladimir but dogging Valuev on a Holyfield fight. At this point I think Holyfield is a better foe than Rahman. Granted both suck and I wish neither fight was made, but Holyfield is slightly better than Rahman right now.
Valuev has gigantism and Holyfield is punch-drunk. Is this the first world title fight ever where both the participants are disabled?
Uh...I think not. Where on earth would you get this information from. Holyfield hasn't won a meaningful fight in 10 years.
how could this happen ..no i mean really...holyfield surely aint ranked by the wba so how could this even be an optional title fight.....:think
Povetkin pulls out and Valuev did not want to fight Wladimir Klitschko. Team Valuev and Sauerland could fight Wlad but they refused this fight for a long time.
I am actually interested in seeing this one. Holyfield is a legend and it is some way right to grant a last shot. I think Holyfield will go the distance and do better than most of us expect. Valuev is a nice guy but people overestimate him. IMO he lost to Donald and twice to Ruiz. He also lost to Chagaev. Who has Valuev beaten? And also, were Valuev-Bergeron, Barett, Lyakovtich better matchups than Holy?
Holyfield HAD a last shot...and he was beaten easily by Barney Rubble. As for Holyfield going the distance, he certainly will go the distance..because Valuev lacks the ability to pull the trigger. He'll go the distance because Valuev lacks any sort of killer instinct. This has shut out written all over it.
