Yet another reason why I want Haye to succeed at heavyweight,Id like to watch a heavyweight title fight and not 1 - not be repulsed by the match making and 2, not be bored to tears by the so called 'Heavyweight Champion of the World'...

    Richest Prize in Sport...?:verysad

lol..this is the one guy i would root against if he were to face Haye...valuev is such a joke with his optionals...beck, barrett, mccline, and now the cherry on top of this garbage pile, a near-50 year year old Holyfield. they have to fight in switzerland cause germany wont sanction it. they even had to request the wba to get Holyfield ranked in the top 15 to my understanding!?! wow

the sooner valuev is gone, the better

and valuev is so limited he wont even stop evander...he will win by 7 or 8 pts

Evander won three rounds against the average Ibragimov,he will probably win two against Valuev.

I had Holyfield winning 4 rounds Ibragimov winning 6 and 2 rounds even. That fight was like world class sparring at its best IMO. really a Draw was not out of the question.

I don't care so much about the fight itself, it's the sheer fact it's happening in the first place that pisses me off.

Sauerland and the WBA are pushing this just for a name on the marquee and a few thousand more dollars. Holyfield has done absolutely nothing of worth to earn this title shot. He didn't do anything to deserve the last one. He hasn't beaten a top ten opponent in 6 years. Everyone knows that Valuev in turn doesn't even want this fight either. But they wanted the hollow prestige and they've got it.

Holyfield either takes yet another sad loss to a guy he would've beaten in his prime...or gets himself a belt Valuev didn't even win from the previous champion, and a more severe pummelling down the line from one of the Klitschkos or a heavyweight hungry to make a name for himself.

****ing disgraceful, the whole thing. Stuff like this makes it hard to be a boxing fan.

Exactly, yet Valuev was going to fight Andrew Golota, and really what has Golota done ever in the sport of boxing? Andrew Golota only has a big name becuase of his two DQ losses to Bowe back in the mid 90's I mean come on this man never won a world title even, so in my eyes even Though Evander hasnt beat a top HW in the last six years he has been able to compete with them as shot as he is.

I still insist that the Ibragimov fight was alot closer than given credit for it wasnt an ass whippen thats for sure. Sure he was dominated by Donald, and Byrd and Toney, but again those are guys who would have given Holyfield a hard time in Evanders Prime even.

Not to justify this fight, but the divison is so bad that a shot Champion like Holyfield can still hang in there with todays best.:-(

It wasn't an ass whipping because Sultan was overcautious and over-respectful, the exact same thing that happened in his godawful fight with Wlad and the dull if sensible fight against Briggs. Even with that he landed nearly a hundred punches more than Evander.

The division certainly is bad if this is considered championship material.

No, it ****s me right off. I've rarely been so infuriated with a fight as this one.
I don't even want to think of the shambling statue that calls itself Evander Holyfield these days being the same thrilling ball of energy that was around in the 90s.

the sad thing is if Holyfield somehow pulls this out he could end up fighting one of the Klitschko's to further unify. :-(

Valuev is a POS for making this fight.

In his Prime Holy would destroy Valuev.

Valuev could have said no, but he didn't. **** him.

This bout is only going to further Holyfield's already-damaged brain.

What people need to realize is that Evander will NEVER quit. As long as he keeps getting decent fights, he'll show up for them.

If Holyfield pulls this off he's got big fights on the way, but Valuev will probably win by UD.

That's what scares me the most. Better for all concerned if Valuev can just jab him to another points loss and, dear God, let Holy see the light.

The fight is in zurich which is 20 miles away from me, ive had the chance to have tickets for the fight but i rather chew razorblades, it be a freak show. I am under the impression that holyfield is only fighting in switzerland because the medical is a lot stricter in America, uk and EU countries.
