Honestly, anonymous poll: Do you think Wladimir has even the slightest chance against AJ?

50/50 fight. Just the type of fight that needs to happen more often. Both sides have good arguments as to why their fighter should win. Neither side has a clearly better argument. Someone might get blown out on fight night, but it's disingenuous to pretend there's any way to know with confidence who that is right now.

 

I think its 55:45 in AJ's favor. Still pretty close.

 

Yes, Wlad is one of the hardest punchers in the history of the sport. That alone means he has a chance.

 

I think people are reading too much into Wladimir's loss to Fury. I think that fight had more to do with style than Wladimir being past prime.

 

I agree, but who has he faced like Joshua? Wlad struggled with Fury's size, speed and movement. That doesn't describe AJ that well, but AJ is Wlad's size. How many top level has with great power has Wlad beat who were close to his size? None, really, Jameel McCline would be the closest to it. However, he did lose to Sanders, who that would mostly describe. Idk, they are both untested at this level against this kind of opponent.

This fight does nothing to negatively effect Wlads career should he lose. If he has a chance at winning. Wlad's a g.

 

Derrick Jefferson wasn't a top level boxer, Tony Thompson had slightly better than average power at best.

 

Lennox fight comments usually don't make a lot of sense to me but I think he's right on this one. He said he will see within the first 2 rounds if Wlad can win this or not. Is he mean and throws snappy punches with mean intentions? Or is he pawing around and playing another game of chess in the ring. He can't do that in boxing with a man 15 years younger than him.

 

He's shot and the underdog coming into this fight but he definitely has a chance. Joshua hasn't fought anybody even remotely close with his level of experience.

 

He can, and should win, against his less experienced opponent. On the other hand,
Fury probably took his soul, so he may get Rouseyfied.

 

Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Klitschko is the greatest heavyweight since Lennox Claudius Lewis, if you think Joshua's in for an easy ride you're mistaken.

If Joshua doesn't play it safe, in the same manner Fury did, he'll likely end up unconscious.

Joshua clearly hasn't faced anyone even close to old Wlad's skillevel and power, and he isn't very experienced either. I actually favor Wlad slightly in this one if he dares to let his hands go, and I think he will.

 

Furys movement was why he lost
AJ doesnt have that movement or that good a jab. IF wlad controls the pace of the fight and has confidence to throw the right hand he probably wins.
