It's what he should be doing to earn a shot but im not sure if its a excellent choice from chris's standpoint as i would expect him to lose against either of them. Perhaps he thinks that too and why he hasn't fought that level of opponent, only time he did he lost to Tomasz.
I think Arreola gives Wlad some trouble but Wlad would be a solid favorite in that one. Wlad wants to fight in the U.S again so I understand Arreola is a logical choice. But, Arreola should have to beat another contender before getting another title shot, I don't want to see him run through a bunch of gate keepers to get a shot he should have to beat someone relevant first. Wlad is possibly facing Thompson this summer that leaves Arreola with time for another fight or two first. An ideal situation would be to match up Arreola-Seth Mitchell this summer with the winner to get a shot at Wlad. That way Wlad still gets an Amercian opponent and whoever wins Arreola-Mitchell would be seen as a very worthy opponent not too mention Arreola-Mitchell would be a great fight itself.
I think fat Arreola is so overrated i cant describe it, Vitali beat him and landed so many shot no way he will eat those from Wlad, Wlad stops him easy unless he goes in his safety first mode which i hoe he wont against flabby Arreola.
Wilder would not fight K brothers he knows he isnt ready, and seriously everyone is on his case for fighting bad fighters and he is going slowly, but when Arreola fights bums its ok...
Wlad has trouble with pressure and Arreola is a pressure fighter. Vitali doesn't panic when faced with pressure like Wlad does so its no surprise Vitali does better agaisnt someone like Arreola. Do I think Arreola beats Wlad? No, but I do think it could be fairly entertaining with Arreola having some moments before getting stopped.
Arreola would get annihiliated vs. Wlad. He ought to try and get a rematch with a then 41 year old Vitali. Much better chances there.
