I agree with you. So far I would take B-Hop by Ud but jesus Christ these idiots who says B-Hop would embarras Bute or Buto Would Ko b-Hopatsch idiots..
Fact: All Bute has is a signature uppercut that seems to work fairly well on weak opposition. Because Bute's management has been lining him up to fight bums for the last 4 years, he is ill prepared to meet someone like Hopkins who will nullify that little uppercut and bang bute like he's never been banged before. Bute has less chance of beating Hopkins than Kelly Pavlik had. BHOP by UD!
I think Hopkins would toy with Bute on the inside. Of course, there's a possibility of Bute landing his trademark left uppercuts but, it wouldn't be the first time that Hopkins has neutralized one's trademark punch.
Nothing wrong with requoting something if people are ducking a question. You are a known ducker, especially after I questioned you on the Hopkins - Pascal thread . Dubace arguably ESBs biggest bottle job
Ok so now Calzaghe gets credut for beating Hopkins like never before, and if Bute beats Hopkins it will be a big win even though Calzaghe showed the way years previously when Hopkins was a P4P fighter and Ring LHW champ having his best wins
bailey, bailey, bailey. let's be objective here, like most events in boxing history views change before settling down. at the time that joe beat hopkins, hopkins looked like a very old man that night and a lot of people assumed he was finished as a top level fighter. since then we've seen him dismantle prime champions in pavlik and pascal and we can see he clearly isn't finished as a top level fighter. being shot was a natural conclusion to make. Giving joe credit for beating hopkins is also a natural decision to take now that we can look back.
I would say bias has alot to do with it because when Calzaghe beat Hopkins it was sandwiched between Hopkins best wins of Tarver, Wright and Pavlik. Calzaghe made Hopkins look bad. If people were saying that about Hopkins then, I doubt Bute would get any credit at all for beating Hopkins
this is the point isn't it tho. we didn't know it was sandwiched between anything then. all we knew was he was coming of a competitive victory over wright and he looked old. we didn't know he would go onto to dominate two prime yound champions, all we knew was what we had. If hopkins goes on to beat pascal in the rematch, which i believe he will, then anyone will get credit for beating him.
The only real problem with Hopkins I see, he's been really troubled by speed since slowing down. Pascal isn't a great boxer, nor a very big puncher, but he managed to put him down 2 times. Bute is just not that fast though, not too active which means Hopkins should be in his element. If you'd replace Bute with Direll or Dawson, Hopkins at this point of his career would be in trouble.
Hopkins would figure Bute out inside 4 rounds and go to work. He would beat up and bully Bute on the inside and frustrate the hell out of him to boot. Hopkins UD
Hopkins has a style weakness to fast 2 handed fighters his own size ie Jones, Taylor twice, Calzaghe and Pascal. This is why I think Hopkins would do well to avoid Zsolt Erdei. Maybe Bute would fit into this catagory
