I can see Cloud winning, the biggest danger is him hurting BHop, but I think Hopkins is taking this fight super serious and is going to try his best to neutralize him. Cloud has trouble hitting a moving target, and can't fight backing up. If Hopkins can move well enough and pressure consistently enough to get off the better shots, he can win a decision. Especially if Cloud comes in over eager and shoots his loud early. He's not the type of fighter that sustains an attack, he's the type of fighter who explodes. So I find it hard to imagine him winning a decision if he can't drop BHop.
Cloud better knock him out within the first couple of rounds, because he won't have a chance later. He has to catch Hop off-guard.
wildly unrealistic scenario, isn't it? That's like Lacy KOing Calzaghe... yeah, I know, many thought it would happen...
Yeah, pretty much. Hopkins will slip most everything Cloud throws, because Cloud really isn't that fast. Will be a lot of clinching in this fight I'm afraid.
Hopkins is great in a clinch and on the inside, so this should help him win. Fairly scored, he should have this by 4 rounds.
Hard to say. I don't know which Hopkins is gonna' turn up. If it's the Pascal one, then he'll take it. But if it's the one that suffered a shoulder injury, gave a below-par display against Chad and has aged a notable amount during that whole period, then it's Cloud. I'm leaning slightly to the second one turning up. In which case - Cloud UD.
