Hopkins vs. Schmeling 175

    I think that there's no way a mature, seasoned Max Schmeling could have fought as a lightheavy.

    I think that Schmeling was prety green when he was able to make the light heavyweight limit, and more Euro level than world level.

    On tht basis I would favour Hopkins.

    Lets make it 185. Schmeling at his very best vs. Hopkins at his LHW best without having to cut weight... plus maybe a weight lifting program and increased protein diet. Hopkins could give up a little speed for some added muscle... but not too much, Max wasn't slow.

    Max was stopped a few times but I dont think Hopkins would hurt him. Hopkins has never been stopped but Schmeling has plenty of power... more than Jones or Tarver.

    Ill take Schmeling by close decision.

    Schmeling would knock out Hopkins at 185.
