As far as I know, there is'nt a boxing commision that draws blood to test for PED's.

The *******s made a big deal that blood was drawn from Pacquiao right before his training for Margarito.
It was a commision medical test, and the *******s posted that this had happened as if to show us in this forum that Pacquiao was clean and he was allowing the commision to draw blood from him.........

........the only problem with that pre-training medical test that they draw blood from the fighter. The results of that test are confidential between the fighter and medical examiner.
They dont even test for PED's with the blood from that test. What they do is part of a regular physical exam to ensure that the fighter is'nt going to climb up those ring ropes with some kind of disease or virus, like Hepatitis or HIV Aids.

......but other than that, commisions dont use blood to test for PED's.

don't bring baseball into this just cuz the red sox needed a roided up team to finally win a ring

its not about being blind my friend, its about letting them do their thing while we as fans respect it. While you cry about changes, boxing just keeps taking your money. you should shut the f up about slapping someone when its you who's actin like a lil ***** complaining

you mean every boxing commissions are useless, because they do not know how to properly test their fighters? come on, if they feel it's necessary, they would do it no matter what, but they don't see the need for it. If you have no respect for the current testing, then you should tell your fighters to retire because it's useless anymore, they should just wait for the time OSDT is implemented in PRO boxing... i.e. if they still exist.

P.S. floyd and jean would make a good couple.:good

But it's still not taking a stand in my mind. I'm not really sure about motives in either case, but Floyd's actions are actually more consistent with taking a stand in my opinion. He maintained his demand in the face of increasingly negative public opinion and will ultimately miss out on a huge sum of money if he never fights Pacquiao.

Pascal is going to fight Hopkins and get paid anyway, and Hopkins is still going to fight Pascal without having to take any additional drug tests. If Pascal was really interested in taking a stand, I believe he should have been willing to let Hopkins walk away at the negotiating table (or alternatively, should be willing to not take the fight now if this condition is not met). As you said, in that scenario, a refusal by Hopkins could make him appear guilty. In the current situation however, I don't view Hopkins refusal as implicating him to the same degree, as the fight is still going to happen. There is absolutely no cost to Pascal's current actions, which is why I can see his talk more easily as a case of pre-fight hype and trash talk than any kind of principled stance.

First, does "*******s" have anything to do with my question?

There's NO "PED BLOOD TESTING" in the first fight but still Pascal fought Hopkins. So why all of the sudden Pascal is demanding PED blood testing for the rematch fight?

I respect your opinion, but dude this whole lets just ignore this issue because it's not required by the commission **** is simply ignorant. The MLB, as an example, took your approach of simply ignoring the issue and using this same kind of flawed logic, until the **** hit the fan. The difference between MLB and boxing, is that when you start pulling boxers, promoters, trainers, etc in front of congress it's going to be 100 times worse. You think these baseball players sounded like dip****'s, what do you think will happen when they start pulling Don King, Floyd Sr., Ariza, etc up in front of Congress? When they start digging into these guys histories and backgrounds? Not to mention old white men...generally "love baseball", and view it as something special, not the same "love" for boxing.

To compound that, you have false "records" and who's in the HOF etc as issues for MLB , you have mens lives on the line in Boxing...you think the general public is going to just "forgive" this percieved lack of regard for human life? You will have old washed up broke fighters coming out of the woodwork claiming they weren't cared for and these commissions and sanctioning bodies should be held accountable for the condition of their bodies and minds. Lastly, Boxing isn't strong enough to handle this kind of **** right now, and this is a ticking time bomb that COULD, if left unchecked, be the kill shot for boxing. This has the potential to be EPIC FAIL. What role does gambling play in boxing, who are some of the shady characters on the fringe...just things to think about.
