Horrific picture of Barrera's gash!

The fight should have been stopped when they clash heads.I don´t think it was a fair way to stop it.
I know that khan was doing really good,but a no contest would be the right way to stop that fight.Thats my opinion.

 

After watching the fight and seeing how bad Barerra's cut was, I side with MAB on this one. The fight should have been stopped at the end of the 2nd.

It was obvious that the blood was affecting MAB, his face was ****ing covered in it and it was dripping off his eyes. To say that that had no effect on how he performed is just ridiculous.

The fact that they let it continue and then stopped it so Khan could get the TKO, its a bull**** victory.

There doesnt have to be a rematch, but Im happy with a noncontest. Don King is right for once

God I just watched the fight and that was terrible. How would a doctor not get called in for something so obviously terrible? You could see the blood spurting out during the second round, they should have called in a surgeon let alone a doctor!

......and the MAB corner has only themselves to blame.

They may decide that to settle it, Khan may be forced to give MAB a rematch......but I doubt that they'll overturn the verdict in favor of Khan.

The one mistake the MAB corner made was not to call the doctor in themselves after two rounds of working on it and tell him, "listen, the cut is too deep and there is no way that we can stop the flow of blood, as soon as Marco even get off his stool the blood is pouring."

The MAB corner were filling the cut full of vaseline as soon as MAB touched his ass on the stool.....had they just cleaned the cut, and then let the doctor come in and watch the blood just purge out with MAB just sitting there, he'd have had no choice but to stop it.

Just an awful job by the whole MAB team to sell the fact that the fight needed to be stopped.

What was left of Barrera was brought over to be a name on Khans record, there was no way on gods green earth they were gonna stop this fight and make it a NC. Khans money making ability took a whack already so so long as MAB didnt pass out through blood loss there was no chance of a stoppage until the 4 rounds were done.

What amazes me is that some people (on the General Forum) were giving MAB a chance Frank Warren is no idiot he knew Barrera had nowt left and thats why he was there !

 

but in essence that should bring the victory into question, its just funny how the fight wasn't stopped until after 4 rounds were through.. it should have been stopped no latter than the 3rd... the cut was horrendous and was clearly effecting barrera's performance

 

This was a Frankwarren fight in the U.K, MAB was in Khan's backyard, 20,000 packed crowd, Big PPV event, all these factors no wonder the Doc did not show up till the 4th round, I am sure Frank was behind this. But the MAB's corner should of called the Doc after the 1st if not then the 2nd, maybe Mexican Pride had something to do with that, again the Doc asked MAB in the 4th could he see? and did he want to go on? yet again MAB must of said yes, had he said no the fight would have been a NC.

I do feel for ring legend MAB, thats no way for him to go out, and the fight in my view should of been a NC after the 1st round.

 

I was saying on here that the fight should have been stopped after the cut but got shouted down for not knowing what I was talking about.

 

What do you think you'd have to do to get Barrera to ask to be pulled out of a fight? Probably break a couple limbs at least.

The doctor is supposed to do whats right to protect the health of the boxer. Theres a reason this isnt left to the boxer, because many of them will fight on regardless.

 

With or Without the cut, Barrera cant win anyway..he's too old...But it should been stopped in the 4th rnd..

 

What people appear to be overlooking is that Barrera landed a flush full power shot on Khan's chin with his forehead.

Not only did Khan take it with no problem, but his chin ripped Barrera's forehead to bits.

Khan's chin is pure titanium with a viscious jaggedy edge! :happy
