How and Why did Spinks put such a brutal beating on Cooney!?

    no I don't think Cooney was the offensive machine of Tyson. He had a great left hook, but not Tyson caliber two handed offense.

    I don't even think that Neck can possibly believe Cooney didn't provoke that beat-down with his taunting and arrogance. Cooney always used to fancy himself such a pretty boy and Spinks said he had 57 kinds of bull**** and he needed it all. You should hear Spinks' outgoing phone message. Mean stuff.

    Oh bull****. We know there was bad blood, but Cooney never called Spinks an "Uncle Tom" or "Gorilla." We do know that their hostility led to Spinks claiming that Cooney couldn't carry Marciano's jockstrap and culminated in Cooney dropkicking Spinks off of a parked police car. Let's set this thing straight.
