Just to throw a spanner in the works on the current slant.........i remember one of the mags, KO perhaps, having their 4 experts preview the potential Holyfield - Tyson match (almost certain it was post jailbird) and it was eye opening how much traction Holyfield had with them. again, from memory, perhaps three out of the four picked him. I'd have to find it and see what exact time these opinions were garnered from for balance.
I was definitely looking forward to it. I was close to being discharged from the Army there was about a half dozen guys (platoon) insisting to me Tyson was unbeatable. I was curious to see what happened if someone made him fight at least. Then of all people my mother tells me Holyfield is gonna win because Tyson will get tired. It was a fun event. Kinda our generations Foreman/Ali.
So he walked through his shots then, just like I said, Holyfield was never in trouble over 14 rounds with Tyson, he clearly had the chin to survive what Tyson had to offer.
