everyone thought Hearns would be beaten easily by the"faster" Virgil Hill in 1991. Virgil was the 4-1 underdog and he was 6 years younger and Tommy beat him relatively easy by UD. After that fight and others, I do not assume a younger less experienced guy can beat the veteran.
he was a former welterweight who won the title 11 years before and was thought to be finished after being stopped 3 times before this. And Virgil Hill was a champion of 10 title defenses unlike Broner who is really untested. This was at light heavyweight.
thank you. Let's put it this way. If Broner fights JMM he will study the Mayweather tape and duplicate that. JMM would have trouble with Broner that is for sure. I think if JMM does not fight Pacman, he should fight Bradley. If he can beat Bradley that would prove a lot.
Broner wud beat Marquez like he owed him change on his ice cream... Floyd whopped marquez ass back in 09 broner wud do tha same thang since he look like floyd neway :deal
I still think it is too early to compare Broner to Floyd. Broner is more offensive than Floyd, and that means he sets more and those little intricate differences means JMM might be able to counter.
Floyd in a way cheated by coming in alot of pounds over the limit while Marquez, at the time, was yet to get accustomed to the higher weights.. Whatever it is, Broner sure aint no Floyd lol. Marquez beats him right now.
As a fan of both fighters in and out of the ring I for one do not want to see this one happen and it doesn't need to happen. Adrien Broner should make an attempt to at least unify three-fourths of the Lightweight title and just as well do a fight with Ricky Burns before moving up to Jr.Welterweight and Juan Manuel Marquez should take Julio Ceasar Chavez Sr's advice by doing just two more fights, if that much, and call it a career!
