Strong Middleweights like Murray and Curtis Stevens tried that and failed.

Trying to outman or punch with GGG is just stupid.

He needs to somehow get GGGs respect early on otherwise GGG will just walk him down. Try to hit with some crisp meaty counters to make GGG think twice about his offence. Turn it into a boxing match rather than a brawl. I think a GGG body shot ends this in all likelihood.

The only people he hasn't knocked out haven't been knocked out by anyone.

Golovkin is a pure hype jab, once he feels the chocolate brownies he'll be kissing the canvas.

Anyone who thinks Brook has NO chance is a casual who should stick to knitting or something.

Exactly. Which is why The Next Gen Chris Eubank Junior is the best man to take on GGG. Brook hasn't even demonstrated great power at 147.

When has Brook ever demonstrated great power? He couldn't hurt Porter. Even AB floored Porter. Saying "chocolate brownie" doesn't give his right hand any more power than he has.

He is a precision counterpuncher. That's all. He is not a power puncher. Knocking out a fat lightweight in Gavin and two bum boys in Dan and Bizier doesn't make him a killer. You are the one coming across as a casual.

So does that mean you feel Thurman isn't a power puncher either as he couldn't put Porter away either.

Also if you think Porter was never hurt at all in his fight vs Brook then you are blind. Kell rocked Porter.

Porter was weight drained vs broner also or do you know believe broner hits harder then Brook and Thurman?

Oh and for the record, I take Matthew Hatton word over yours considering he has been in ring with kell.

Is kell a one shot killer. No! Can he hurt guys and stop guys. Yes of course.

Tbh I think Thurman's power is overstated but that's besides the issue here. I think Spence is probably the hardest hitting 147lber atm.

Again, Kell has hurt mediocre boxers at 147. Golovkin walked through Lemieux's shots and destroyed Geale while taking a hard shot effortlessly in the process.

It's one thing to knock out C-grade Welterweights. Golovkin is a seemingly iron-chinned Middleweight. Kell has not demonstrated in any of his previous fights that he has the power to hurt Golovkin.

    We'll see on the night.

Exactly, so there isn't anything to suggest his power is remarkable.

None of the last 3 guys he fought have ever been stopped either, nor had Senchenko (other than a cuts stoppage) or Jackiewicz- all never really close in fact.

And didn't Hatton say that Brook hits harder than Canelo? Plus he came a lot closer than anyone to stopping N'dou (whose picking Brook to win) who'd been in there with Canelo, Cotto, Witter and Cintron among others.

I think you are underestimating Brook's power. I think he hits just as hard as other welterwights whose power people cream over like Thurman, Maidana or Matthysse.

Yeah, he probably won't make a dent in Golovkin, but I don't think GGG will be letting Brook hit him either like he did Wade and Munroe.

Only chance Brook has is if GGG gets injured or cut during the fight and can't continue.

    From another thread:

    Another unlikely scenario:

Combined with his usual style of defence (timing, reflexes, movement, clinching etc). So basically his usual style but better. The chances of it being enough to beat Golovkin are slim but there is a chance imo.

IMO this fight comes down to chin 80% of the time. I give Kell a 50-50 for the other 20% so I think a 10% chance is quite fair.

Nothing Kell can do about it really, an overly defensive game plan could see him lose on points even if he goes 12.

How does Brook win the fight? Could open with some very fast footwork while GGG assesses the situation, with the crowd adding extra nerves, I could see Brook taking the opening 2 or 3 rounds.

If this leads to GGG getting an eye closed, getting held a lot, a bad cut, it could mean he gets frustrated and plays bull to Brooks winning matador.

Tough road to victory for Kell but possible....
