This is what pissed me off. The wheels came off mentally after the headbutt, but he looked almost like he was happy the fight was over. Appeared he was relieved more than anything else.

I don't doubt his heart or his desire to win, but he definitely self destructed.

I watched it again.

After the point deduction, Cortez walks Ortiz to a neutral corner, motions for them to resume and turns to look over his shoulder at the scoring table.

Ortiz walks over to Floyd, hugs him, and looks at Cortez.

While Ortiz is standing hands down looking at the ref Floyd sucker punches him.

Floyd was legit. Action was in, but Ortiz either didn't realize or wasn't paying attention.

 

Ortiz made like 3mil for that. Plus he now has a reason for a rematch with potentially larger earnings. That'd be enough to put a smile on my face and give me a boner.
