Furys win over Wlad was in name only, Wlad wasn't trying to fight nobofy that night. he made Rocky Fielding look like the bravest of men by comparison

I’m not sure you had a point, if so, what was it?

Laughs in Bernard Hopkins, Archie Moore, George Forman, Manny Pacquiao... etc.

Boxing is a perishable skill however being over 40 doesn’t equal having no skill.

Not having good performances before the fight is an opinion. Your opinion.

    Pointless thread.

I think his points are perfectly valid.

Wlad, Povetkin and Pulev were all 40-odd and had achieved nothing of note before or since.

Luis Ortiz on the other hand,.... oh!

The problem is, it's still the deepest resume in the division, by far.

Pulev is not considered top 10 currently, only top 15 at best.

Nah, I would take Povetkin, Parker to beat Ortiz without too much trouble while I would edge it to Whyte in a bit of a barn burner. Pulev would be a 50/50 kind of fight and the Takam who swarmed all over Chisora and gave AJ a tough out could very well be too busy and too strong for Ortiz.

Ortiz's best win is Jennings and looked pretty gash in his last outing against Hammer. Ortiz has done nothing to warrant his lofty rep with some on here and he ain't ever likely to at 52 years of age.....

    But it's not.

Fury has the bets top 3 in the division with Wlad, Wilder and Chisora, but AJ clearly has the depper resume.

The real difference here is that Wlad wasn't coming off a shitty performace and had ruled the division for years before the fight.

No they weren't. Parker and Pulev were 1 and 2 back then. Breazeale was 15 and Molina was around 12 iirc.
