Single punch? No way. Hatton absorbed a LOT of punches throughout 10 rounds. A single punch didn't do the job, it was a culmination of punches over time. Finally, with the type of punch Hatton got hit with (check hook... *yawn), the impact of the shot was increased because he lunged forward as it struck.

If anyone thinks Floyd knocked Rick down with a single punch... go do your homework.

maybe the last thing to go was already gone by the time hatton got to tszyu.

i never took that fight seriously.........not after tszyu had fought only 3 rounds in like 2 years and was 36 years of age.

Good point. Yes, the turnbuckle certainly didn't help.

Dudes why are we getting techical? PBF is a precision puncher. He hit Hatton cleanly and REPEATEDLY.Kostya didnt.Hatton swarmed and smothered his body of work and Kostya simply couldnt keep him off him because he was too old. A prime Kostya though would have been a diffrent ball game.He was beautiful boxer to watch. His boxing clinic vs a young Vernon Forrest was marvelous to behold. But obviously at 36 his skills had simply eroded. There wasnt enough on his punches and he didnt hit Hatton often enough nor cleanly enough to hurt him consistently.

Your view is the total opposite of Kostya's himself, who said that "the Kostya of 35 would have beaten the Kostya of 25, easily".

I think you need to stop taking credit away from KT and Ricky. KT also told Hatton that he had various ways and plans of winning that fight, but Hatton had an answer for every plan he made.

Nobody blamed it on the turnbuckle. I said "it didn't help".

You are a *****. Please go away.

I felt being directed into the turnbuckle was a big factor.

what about that body shot that KT landed which knocked hatton down??the ref calls a perfectly placed body shot a low blow.
next round hatton lands a full steamed shot to KT's groin which weakened him.
PBF continually landed clean power shots on hatton in every round, which lead to hatton's single punch demise.a culmination of power shots will eventually take their toll.
look at tyson when he lost to douglas.he copped 10 rnds of shots which in the end took him out.
whats the ole saying in boxing?get your opponent drunk, then take his money!!!

If thats the case, Hatton must be exhausted all the time between fights.

    Absolve?

You think his comments were temporary fake niceness? Then why have they remained good friends since the fight?
