Looked fast, sharp, hungry, and seemed to have gained some proper power. Hopefully the injury problems are behind him and he can power on. Still wonder if he is in the correct weight class. I think this is becoming an issue more and more for many fighters
Looks flabby to me. Showed some nice skills but also showed a few flaws. There's no rush but same time there has to be a balance and next year i would expect a serious step up in bouts and also a permanent weight and targets for the year.
I wish I was that "flabby" But yeah I do see what you are saying. Maybe with him being so young they're thinking he'll grow into light-middle and drop the fat gradually. Paul Smith needs to drop a weight division too.
Yeah i agree. He's 21 now and in Feb he will be two years a pro and into his third year. He doesn't need to be rushed to much i'd rather see him have 4 quality bouts next year then 6-7 journeyman with records like 11-34-2. He needs to start moving up. I like to see him in gym working on his technique and conditioning and then gaining quality learning. Only 2 bouts this year. Next year i'd like 5. Start with a solid journeyman at whatever weight he chooses to campaign. I'm talking about a guy that will hang around and work with him. He's been out a while get some rounds under belt. Then next would be a fighter with a decent winning record and then a area level champion. Then after that see his development review it and go from there but logically each fight next year should be a step up.
He looked pretty sharp there, considering the disruptions he's had this year. Put his punches together well, ok movement, and decent power. Hope his hand holds up and we see more of him next year.
Thought he looked very good considering the problems hes had with injuries etc. Punches looked like they had great snap on them, rushed his work a bit when Randall was in trouble in the 1st but that was understandable as hed been a few without a stoppage, the combo to finish him was a beauty. Looked pretty light on his feet and his weight looked better than in previous contests. As the man who was tipped by many to be the best Pro-olympian, he may live up to the hype yet. Really nice performance.
I thought he would be leading the way outta the olympians at this stage. Him and Cello Renda at some stage next year would be a great fight.
good performance, randal, is a big middle, who to my nowledge has never been so outclassed and stopped as quickly as that, well done billy joe.:good
