How did Canelo become so physically strong?

Canelo doesn't always push his opponents back.

In fact, he says he prefers his opponents come to him. Problem is many of his opponents who spend their careers fighting on the front foot fight Canelo off the back foot because they go into survival mode after the first couple of counters.

Because the Smith and Kovalev fights were fixed. Kovalev is an obvious fix if you own two pair of functioning eyes.

For Smith, watch Smith vs Canelo and Smith vs Ryder. Canelo is using less head movement and using less feints/ jittery movement than Ryder in the first opening rounds. Yet Smith is mysteriously already on the backfoot against Canelo before he's even landed a punch and yet is standing his ground against Ryder (Ryders actually bigger than Canelo and looks stronger in close quarters). Smith pulls most of his punches in the Canelo fight whilst against Ryder his punches are snappier and actually look like he's trying to hit the target.. Canelo isn't even doing anything of note he's literally walking forward, zero feints of sorts. Smith even says Canelo isn't that big of a puncher in the post fight interview... So why the hell is he on the backfoot the whole fight and showing basically 0 aggression. In the post fight interview he even says he came to win, if he came to win he would have shown an ounce of aggression and spite on his punches. He would have taken risks instead he let Canelo, open to straights without being in range for counters, tee off on his body.

People say Smith fought Canelo how he fought Ryder and that's just simply false.

I can see how Smith Canelo could have fooled people and I'm not saying Smith Canelo was 100% fixed but imo it is highly likely. Kovalev on the other hand

Canelo reminds me a lot of Pacquiao and I think that's why so many of Pacs biggest fans have gravitated towards him.

The way he was a champ at a lighter weight very young, and as he's grown he's cut a swathe through divisions fighting everyone he can.

He plays the a side card but doesn't let it stop fights being made. He's secured number 1 P4P spot despite probably not being the most skilled boxer today. He's active, he's got stronger as he's moved through the weights, and his matchmaking continued to wow me.

Admittedly what Pacquiao did, being lineal champ at FLW, FW and WW plus some tweeners, will never be replicated again, but I thought it would be years till we saw something similar, and Canelo is doing it right now, despite being clearly undersized and having to constantly battle against PED accusations (Pedquiao, Roidnelo etc) and asterixs on their resume (Marquez, Golovkin). Both lost a fight that fans say was before their peak, but others saw was bang in their prime. Both have looked unbeatable at times.

Lets just enjoy Canelo whilst he's here. His fights are interesting, his matchmaking is unrivalled (apart from maybe the Super Fly guys).

Whilst I root against him every single fight, I do enjoy watching a career of greatness unfold.

Well, he will always be tainted after failed tests, he can't have any problem with that because that's what happens when you get popped.

You always have that cloud over you, doesn't matter if you are tested daily from now til the end of your career, that suspicion is there and to be honest it's fair.
