I find Rogen's commentary dull, and repetitive. Wish they would get someone else. A good Mma coach would be great to learn more about the tecniques.

Dull is one thing but repetitive? He calls the plays of the grappling so it's next to impossible for him to say the same things over and over. Hateraid. It's not just for dinner.

On MMA, Rogan is great. When he goes off about other things on his podcast--politics, etc.-- he says some pretty un-brilliant things.

Rogan can only call BJJ, and even that is tainted by his Bravo bias and always overacting to evey sub attempt.

He is no expert when it comes to wrestling/striking etc, more like a casual fan screaming into a microphone.

Most of all though, he is a corporate shill. Every event is the greatest of all time and both he and Goldberg just repeat the same lines every PPV. It's ironic that a guy who shills as much as a pro-wrestling commentator tries to get an equally mediocre journalist fired. Even worse is Fighters Only even considering firing Rios just because Rogan is an extension of the ZUFFA brand.

The truth is MMA has really poor broadcasters and journalists in general. Really low standards.

Rogan is also a conspiracy nut, hard to take him seriously outside the sport.

he does know kicks decently..in fairness..he did taekwondo....his knowledge of punching and proper boxing movment is a bit shakey..though honestly...likely better then half the guys who do boxing commentary who never boxed (i would say he seems to know what angles guys should move at..what punches are...from a boxing standpoint...better then someone like jim lampley does) having said that..im sure you could find some mma guys who know a bit more.

It's not just Rogan who is awful, it's everyone really.

Schiavello is very knowledgeable and if he would tone down his humor he would be decent but his celebration after Hari KOed Overeem was disgraceful. Miletich is a good color commentator, though he exaggerates a little too much.

Aside from that there is nobody. Mauro is garbage etc, I won't even bother wasting time writing about those clowns.

Also wanted to add, as biased and crazy as Lampley can come off sometimes and he is clearly slipping as a broadcaster these past few years, he is in a different class from the MMA commentators.

lol, I bet Dana White is your favorite fighter (j/k)

But seriously, who gives a dam about Rogan. He doesn't contribute anything to the sport.

If someone was to sit down and listen to the past 10+ UFC PPVs you could probably find that at least 20% of the commentary is exactly the same. Word for word.

Seriously bud, personal preference is always personal. I don't mind Rogen but. I like strikeforce, WEC and Bellator commentators far more. This is Rogen, First don't let any fight action interrupt the story you're telling. Then,... Leg kick..... Head kick.... He went for the take down....

He's pretty much turned into a bully. Once his head doubled in size, and he became the spokes person for the UFC, he all of a sudden became this arrogant little man. He also seems to have a bit of a rage problem now.
