I felt bad for Castillo and I had the same feeling after Maidana was robbed in his first fight against Fraud. Castillo and Maidana both got robbed.

at the time i was excited we got a good fight and to see floyd overcome adversity.

now i just wish people would stop calling a close fight a robbery.

I scored it a draw at the time, and I remember thinking that the scores were way too wide in a fight that I thought could have gone either way.

Edit: That said, I didn't have an issue with Floyd winning the fight...just not by that margin. I would have said the same had Castillo gotten the nod by those same scores.

Explain This! THE FIRST FIGHT judge: Anek Hongtongkam 116-111 | judge: John Keane 115-111 | judge: Jerry Roth 115-111
THE SECOND FIGHT. judge: Ken Morita 115-113 | judge: Larry O'Connell 116-113 | judge: Daniel Van de Wiele 115-113
Floyd won the second fight easily . The fix was in in the first fight . How could the second fight be closer than the first ? Prove me wrong !

I thought: "Hmm... The 115-111 cards should be one closer and the other card was unfair. Stock of both fighters rise." But we can all say looking back with how much more Mayweather continued to do it is unquestionable that Castillo ultimately rises more for having fought Floyd tougher than any other fighter. Still both of these wins, particularly the second, are among Floyds' best.

I saw the fight live. I felt like Castillo had edged him out by a couple rounds, but when he lost I didn't feel like it was a complete robbery. Just felt like it was a bad decision and that the refs may have been scoring something that I was overlooking. Till this day I believe that is the only fight I ever watched where I really felt like Floyd lost...but not by very much.
