I think Brook gassing was probably due to poor preparation. Eddie Hearn gave an interesting post fight interview where he alluded to the fact he was not entirely happy with Brook's training. It was a bit weird actually because Hearn is normally such a deluded fan boy when it comes to his own fighters.

Brook still got the win but I think it shoes he is someway off the top names and at 28 he needs to hurry up. He should have had a fight like this years ago.

Jones was his worst nightmare, he survived with a few bumps and bruises but also proved his class. So i rate it as a good victory.

this might end up being his career best victory so good performance if you rate him as a euro champ level fighter but very poor if you rate him as world class or champion level.

Brook was exposed and nearly finished here but he showed a lot of guts and although stylistically he is several grades above Jones, I had Jones gutting out a decision sweeping the last seven rounds after losing the first five.

Brook was about finished....the second wind had come and gone....great gutsy performance by both fighters, great fight. The 6th was close and there was another, I think the 10th that was close but the endless holding and back pedaling I couldn't score it for Brook, Carson was making the fight, reminiscent of Hatton / Collazo, I had Hatton winning the fight on points but it was clear as day he absolutely gone at the end. He wouldn't have made it another round with Collazo and Brook probably wouldn't have made it another one or two with Jones.

So Collazo won an emotional "event" victory of sorts that night as did Jones, here.

If Brooks camp truly thinks there preparation was lax they ought to rematch Jones in the states. :yep Get a more dominant performance. You know, seeing this fight created more doubts than confidence about their man despite the announcers spinning it as some sort of positive learning experience when watching it, it felt more like a guy finding his level.

If there was an examination Brooks in no way gets a PASS. This is RETAKE EXAMINATION time.

You can talk all night about how Kell boxed circles around Jones but we knew that going in. Great fight though!!

Average at best, he didn't pace himself properly thinking he was gonna finish Jones early. He clearly didn't study film on his opponent, or he would've known Jones starts very slow in an attempt to tire his opponent out before he goes to work. If jones would have started a round sooner he may have taken Brook out. Brook is rated way to high in the Ring rankings, his first world elite level opponent is more then likely gonna embarrass him.

I'd give him a C+. He did well in the first half but was hit much too much for someone on his level. But it will hopefully prove to be a growing fight and he'll continue to develop.

Average, expected much more from him. If it's true that he didn't take training seriously then he's in for a rude awakening when he steps up, needs to sort his head out.
