I am look at this from a boxing fans persepctive. I dont want to see a seasoned and established world class fighter papmpered by being in the ring with a non-threat. Promoters only care about making money and the fighter should only care about fighting the best and being the best. Other fighters have come stragiht back from a KO loss to defeat a top contender or title holder. You say I dont make sense, but the same Hatton fans who want him to fight a stiff were originally pushing for a mayweather rematch!
The same people who were happy to see Hatton chase Floyd for 9 rounds. Also the Hatton Witter fight wont last 6 rounds and Witter will KO Ricky faster than Floyed did! Witter has more devastating singl punch KO power!
I don't mind Hatton coming off the KO loss with a semi-soft opponent as a confidence builder. Not a real scrub mind you, but I don't mind if it's not a top 3 140 lb. fighter. You never know how a guy's confidence will be like after losing his first fight, especially in the fashion he lost. But after that, it's gotta be a top caliber JWW opponent like a Witter.
"KT was not a has been when Hatton beat him." Er...he'd fought three rounds in three years and retired after the Hatton fight. If he had anything left, wouldn't he have fought again?
Hatton is not boxing, he's wrestling. Without the referee letting him wrestle, he would not be a top fighter. Even Urango would have stopped Hatton. Hatton is holding, holding and holding. Disgusting to watch.
i don't like him as much as I did before his last 3 fights. All the grappling and holding is too much. If he wants that to be his style, fine. But don't grapple when you have a herpes outbreak. That was some nasty stuff, and I know PBF was tryin not to get that ****.. That's probably the reason he gave hatton all those elbows.
1. His limited boxing game. 2. His belief that he had any chance against PBF and his talking **** about him and not backing it up. 3. His dumbass delusional nuthugging fans and the total lack of boxing knowledge during the buildup of the PBF fight. 4. His boring hold and hit style. 5. His gloating after his KO win over JLC when everyone knows that a prime JLC would have eaten his lunch. 6. His refusal to fight his fellow countryman Junior Witter which would be good for boxing and a megafight in the UK. 7. His excuses after the PBF fight about the ref. 8. The fact that he is loved more in the UK than the much better and more skilled Joe Calzaghe.
