There is no who should Duran have fought as he fought them all and at a disadvantage fat, old, short, and still was able to deal with Killers like Hagler and beat Barkley why? because this guy wasnt all speed and reflexes this guy was an ATG boxer and had skills to rely on when the physical gifts were no longer there. He could punch, box, Great defense could roll with the punches and did not have a glass chin. I wish I could say the same about the so called legends of today.

I dont hold it against him that he lost so many fights in the latter part of his career. By the time he lost to Laing,Benitez he had, had 70+ fights and been pro since the age of 16. I dont think he did that well as a 154 pounder so it comes as no surprise that he had less success when he campaigned above that weight.

If you watch Duran vs Nino Gonzalez,Luigi Minchillo,Wilfred Benitez,Thomas Hearns the only conclusion you will come to is that he had no buisness at 154 regardless whether he beat Moore or not. He beat Gonzalez in a close fight, but looked less than impressive, and he beat Minchillo, but he had problems with him early on. 154 did not suit Duran imo. He lost to Benitez and got KTFO against Hearns.

Going up too far in weight and having so many fights took its toll on Duran, thats why he lost so many fights late in his career.

In the modern day, he'd still reign as L/W Champ... not for 7 years, more like 10 years.

He'd not need the years of hard work to gain a title, nor would he have the same quality of fighters to face. No one would handle him now.

The only thing that might get the better of Duran, in this day and age, is the ****ed up politics and bull**** the boxers welcome/endure.

Duran would not be anything less than a Champion, in any era at L/W.

In reflection, put him in against the mumbo-jumbo W/Ws and M/Ws also. He'd wipe the floor clean.

Davey Moore had 12 pro fights when he fought Duran. The kid had no business with a world title, and he had no business in the ring with Roberto ****ing Duran. At a time when Moore should have been beating up no-hopers in the Shoe Boot Mississipi High School gym, he was in a world title fight with an ATG. The people who handled Davey Moore should have spent the rest of their miserable, rag eating, slime sucking, lives in a level 6 federal penetentiary. What those ****ings guys did is called MURDER! And the referee who did not have the balls to DQ Duran, or even warn him, should get ass raped by Bubba on the same cell block daily!

I think it's safe to say, anyone who remembers him for the No Mas very likely haven't seen much, if any, of Duran. Dude was a beast!
