I think Froch has all ready been to University, it's why he turned pro so late.

I dont rate him as a boxer but respect the fact he's finally backing up his big mouth by stepping up in competition

    (Pascal onwards)

When I got in last night after watching the Fury-McDermott fight round a mates, I stuck Froch-Pascal on again, and was surprised at how UNeven it was. I thought I originally scored it 115-113 for Froch, though his boxing really impressed me from 8-12. I had it 116-112 in the end, even though the fight was always competitive, Frochy showed he COULD move his head, COULD move from side-to-side and COULD use his jab as a very, very effective weapon.

If he turns up like that on OCt 16th I am going to be a happy man :happy

    He will CRUSH Dirrell.

    Your kidding right?

Moving his head/side to side. His defence in that fight was abysmal

Take it you boys were on the booze last night

Reading these comments I think theres need for an impartial voice, so here it is... Froch is the greatest british fighter ever...probably.

Once Froch decided to box against Pascal it was a pretty clear win for him, IMO.

He has inherited the classic British fighter curse of being totally unable to listen to his trainer - ala Hatton, Bomber Graham et al.

Not for the last few rounds. COnsidering Pascals' edge in handspeed/confidence and the fact that Froch ISN'T A DEFENSIVE FIGHTER I think his head-movement/boxing behind the jab was pretty good in those last few rounds.

Again, good for Froch. I'm not saying he's Sweet Pea. He just showed in that fight more movement than he did in the Taylor fight, although he displayed some great upper body movement before the final rally that finished Jermain off.

Dirrell, even in the Oganov fight, was sloppy at times, and pulled back with his cin out in the air. He also has a tendency to admire his work at times, which is why I hope he will start off well against Froch.

When he takes his time to trade (as he seemed to in both the Hanshaw and Oganov figths) he will be stepping into the War Zone.

Froch, mid-to-late rounds stoppage (I hope)

He's done great and I respect him massively for how well he has done BUT this tournament will be the end of him guys which is not a good thing for British boxing!:-(! We need to keep our world champions and not lose them..

Yeah but if he wins we gain a legend! Not likely AT ALL but at least he's willing to take risks.

Even if he only beats Dirrell the fact one of your fighters is getting in the ring with Kessler and Abraham consecutively, then at least he's had the balls to do so. In three years time, if there's a massive tournament with the likes of Cloud, Shumenov, Pascal, Dawson (assuming these guys are the best then, PURELY HYPOTHETICAL) and you were invited, surely you'd give a go?

I say fair play to Froch, I'd rather see him lose to Kessler and Abraham than have soft defences or risk it against Bute which may leave him unable to get any other big fights. By doing this he's getting right in the mix, and I'd happily see him lose just for the chance he may win:happy

I know what you mean though:lol::good

I was watching his fight against Jermaine Taylor the other day, and i still laugh when he throws his uppercut..

"Which is ment to be based on Ken's and Ryu's uppercut from Street Fighter" ha ha ha

Carl Froch kept on, throwin his uppercut from a distance...but he has'nt got the speed of Roy Jone's Junior to pull this move off.....

I prefer it when he drops his hands, looks the other way as if he isn't paying attention and then throws the most obvious, telegraphed jab you've ever seen:lol:

Perfectly displayed towards the beginning of round 3, the round where he gets dropped. So un-slick it's unreal:lol: Gotta love Frochy.

I agree with what your saying pal,I'd jump at it if it was me too, I know for a fact he is going in for financial reasons as well as ambition reasons too, He wants to prove he's the best BUT my only problem would be he could have proved that by fighting the winner of it all as Bute will probably do, Only problem is that he would have got an awful lot less money..

I admire him for going in this tournament I really do cos it takes it an awful lot of bottle to go into a draw with them kind of guys and have no control over it!! He also has the toughest draw by far in facing Dirrell,Kessler and then Abraham.. I think only 1 of them is winnable for him and that's the first one:-(

I really hope he proves me wrong though..

Good Luck Carl Froch you are a true champion!!
