Easy, get a baseball bat and hit him while he is sleeping. Otherwise, you are screwed. Go full Salido.

I'm a big Mikey Garcia fan but I actually don't think he's the kind of fighter who would have the best chance to beat Loma. Mikey's a counter puncher, but angles and combination punching that Loma is so perfect with is what nullifies counterpunching. Mikey would be looking for a mistake to time, but Loma wouldn't give it to him.

No one in history beats Lomachenko at 130. Loma's performance vs Sosa was the most breathtaking performance I've ever seen in the ring.

That whole crew is bad for boxing. They should be cheerleaders instead of commentators.

Sosa was outclassed before the contract was signed. He was a sacrificial lamb from the word set go. Loma got the big head, he in there trying to tell the ref how to ref the fight. The sad thing about it is that the ref was going along with it.

Nah, man. Max is OK and sometimes smart as a tack and in 20 more years he'll be a righteous replacement for Larry Merchant. I yell at the TV all the time. Sometimes I hate Teddy Atlas. Sometimes I hate Lampley. Sometimes I'm about to go all g-had on Bernstein. My dad used to berate Cosell. They all know WAAAAAYYYY more than me about this sport (that I equate to the higher art forms) than I do. That said, I am convinced that Max read my post in this thread. If you're here Max: :beer-toast1:

I hear you and I ain't got no problem with you feeling that way. As for me, I don't see it that way. I was boxing and watching boxing when Max was still ten or fifteen years from being born. He can't tell me squat about boxing. He inflates his language about fighters when he is commentating on a fight and for a person that is just getting started in watching boxing, he will have them thinking that they are watching superman when all they are watching is a good fighter. Too much hype in his game and as a matter fact he talks too much.People can't enjoy the fight or form their opinions from hearing all the yipping and yapping from him and Lampley. I would jump over a hundred of them busters for one Cosell.

A Mexican atg can beat Loma. I mean Salido isn't exactly an atg but he was capable of giving Lomachenko problems. I think Mikey Garcia can beat him with the right game plan. Enough fighting soft kneecans and Jamaican pot heds step in the ring with a Mexican warrior.

The problem is, breathtaking performance against Sosa is not quite the same as beating a Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Freitas, Casamayor, Corrales, Chacon, Escalara.

Loma can only prove his talents against those who sign to fight him, but is shutting down Sosa as impressive as winning 6 rounds against a prime Marquez? Not for me.

Let's say he beats Salido, Corrales and Berchelt in dominant fashion, as in the way he beat Walter's and Sosa, then we can revisit it further.

If he can do the same against Flanagan and Garcia/Linares he'd probably sit at number 1 p4p on most lists.

If he eventually gets an unbeaten Crawford dominated the same way then rank him as high as you want.

But shutting down Sosa is not enough to class as the best fighter in 130 pound history.

This. Sosa is a good fighter, but is definitely not an elite fighter. Besides Salido I don't think Loma has any competition at SFW. I still think Loma needs space to work and doesn't like being crowded. If Salido doesn't age overnight I think he beats Lima again.

Yep, Here's my take on Loma, He is an excellent fighter with speed and skills but he is not a natural or instinctive fighter. He has no plan B because he doesn't adjust or think on the fly. He fights the same way every fight because his skills were honed by years of repetition. He is a technical fighter in every sense of the word. As soon as he meets an elite cerebral fighter, he will be figured out in two rounds, adjustments will be made and he will most likely lose by a large margin or get knocked out.

Mikey Garcia the perfect blueprint of a fighter to beat Loma. Great jab, high ring IQ, great fundamentals timing and power.
Loma is outclassing all of these dudes who aren't even trying to cut off the ring on him. Yes Loma's great his performances are A1 and he is a p4p talent. He's not unbeatable especially against dudes who have elite skills and are bigger. Plus everyone is fighting Loma wrong.

That's not why mikey is perfect to beat Loma. Mikey's not even really a counter puncher. His timing and jab+left hook would stop all that dancing.
