Cotto wont be able to withstand the pressure Williams will give him...He will keep Cotto on the defensive all night long.

And why do you guys keep bringing up the first Quintana fight like its going to do your agruement any good...I seriously doubt Williams will fight like that again.

trust me man im a big cotto fan, but stylistically this is the WRONG matchup for him. his head movement isn't the best, and he NEVER clinches. i would give him a decent shot simply because i dont think williams has faced anyone with his kind of power or body punching/technical ability, but cotto would be getting hit way too much...

he's not a scumbag to me.. theres just no way he can win against paul williams really...

quintana fights absolutely nothing like cotto

cotto does horrible with high volume fighters
cotto does horrible with big fighters

i understand your a fan or whatever but lets be realistic here...

Cotto would get his ass raped in there against PW.

We're talking about Shane here. Shane has the best shot. Cotto doesn;t have the defense and he doesn't have the workrate. After Round 7, the workrate would be just too much for Cotto.

He would finally get put out of his misery.

And Paul throws too many uppercuts for Cotto. After about 7 Rounds Cotto will be eating so many, his head might fly off into the crowd (at MSG - since Paul said he'll even fight him there...)

Get inside and get to his body early. stay on his chest until he clinches and start all over. Wraps may have played a factor, but Margo did start very slow against PW, credit Williams for causing problems too. I think had that fight gone 15 Margo would have eventually got him.

Thing is, PW is a pretty good inside fighter himself but I don't think he could hang with Shane's strength in there.

I think Margo can match or surpass Cotto at WW when it comes to power and body punching.

    Shut the **** up Gaytor!!!!:D

Maybe you didn't see round 12 of the Margo fight?????

Paul won that round going away, and Margo was clearly gassed. He gave eveything he could in Round 11, and won that Round convincingly. Paul took his best and came out in the 12th on his toes. Had that fight gone any longer Margo would have gassed further.

No limit to what these Cotto fans will say.

And just think, if he beats Pac, they will be claiming he's the best WW of all time. :-(

I agree Margho blew his load in the 11th and had nothing left in the 12th. He would have only faded worse the longer it went. Paul came out for the 12th like it was the 3rd.

Williams is a stylistic nightmare for Cotto. He would have Cotto all over the place looking for a spot to lie down if they fought.
