Roy Jones "ducked" the entire MW division to move up and fight James Toney.. There is no pleasing certain people no matter what.
Sure. Of course that was down not up. In either case, GGG doesn't HAVE to weigh in at 168. Anywhere above 160 is sanctioned and totally cool. So he can weigh in at 161 if that's his fondest wish. really though -- it's less about the two fighters fighting and the weird amount of outrage that Ward elicits for wanting to fight GGG at 168.
of course he doesn't have to, but it can take up to a year's time, or even more, for a fighter to adapt to his new weight I thoroughly despise catchweights and want GG-Ward only at 168, but only after GGG moves up and fights at least 1-2 fights to let his body adapt to his new weight in the ring, and won't be thinking of coming back down again
Actually I meant if Ward decided to fight at 175 but then in a few years he tries to come back down to 168 to fight GGG. He might be a dead man. I think he is ready for 175. Even on fight night against Smith he was lean and didn't have any extra weight on him.
Ward also said he'll clean out 168 to 175 then be a hw champion by now. He is now calling middleweights cause he know he'll take a brutal beating from Kovalev or Beterbiev. Why isn't he calling guys from 175, like he said he would?
And Ward is trying to fight Zac Dunn on a PPV undercard:rofl He thinks he deserves a cut of the PPV money too:rofl:rofl
ward will be taken to school if he decides to fight kovalev or beterbeast. instead, he calls out smaler guys, lol.
