He did get knocked out once in a kick boxing match...threw a kick out...put it out lazy, and the guy he was fighting threw a perfect spinning back kick and caught him right on the point of the jaw. Vitali was knocked out...however he was very young, and still he accomplished a great deal in kickboxing to that point. I'm sure Vitali does very well in K1

i think he would do quite well. his hands have obviously improved alot since then and many fighters with age, experience, training etc have become more durable. vitalis got a beard. id still love to see the ko by a kick.

He destroys them easier than he is destroying his opponents in boxing.

i've heard this has been disputed. i did research on this and the ONLY person i saw saying it was said kickboxer who inflicted the blow. (of course he would make him self sound like a bad ass. had to be a spinning back kick? really?) you know i actually read Pele Reid KO'd a fighter by the name of William Eves NOT Vitali Klitshcko with a Spinning back kick at the SAME event in AC that Reid claims he fought Vitali.

i heard it was in a small venue and no cameras or photos were taken (perfect opportunity to fabricate). i feel like a dick calling this mystery fighter out but until i see some proof its just hearsay and Vitali has never admitted it happened.

exactly, weres this "video" that the article writer watched? it would end all this right now if they released the video.

and as i've said its Reid and Reids affiliates that say this. of course there gonna back there man. like i said he fought ironically at the same show/venue against a DIFFERENT opponent and KO'd him with this spinning back kick. just read the quotes from Reid in that article this guy is so full of himself lol

look the only reason i dispute this claim is because **** doesn't add up and i'm a skeptic to word of mouth.

I agree its a little suspious that it hasnt ever seen the light of day on the net although watching Vitali's other kickboxing matches I can believe it. To me he doesnt look like he was nearly as good a kickboxer as he was a boxer a few years latter.

One thing you need to consider aswell with reguards to K1 is that he generally fought US style rules with no low kicks as in that video. How he'd do today I don't know but if he's switched to K1 in the early/mid 90's I don't think he'd have come out ontop vs the likes of Aerts.

    Any video footage of this?

Vitali would get his ass handed to him in K1, his only shot was to stick with kickboxing some 15-20 years ago..
