What do you mean? As far as I am aware Ward was not fighting tonight, Yes Ward beat Froch, but he is yet to convince me he is the man at this weight. This is Froch's victory not Ward's.
****. Completely forgot I'm sharing the same boat with this dickhead. Save your hypothetical victories for Mayweather, asswipe.
Assuming he beats Dawson later this year I think Ward's biggest challenge might be the Dirrell brothers or at least Andre. If Ward can beat him then that's it - there's nobody else who can serve as a solid challenge. He's just in a class of his own. If his skills translate to 175 I don't see anyone beating him. That division is dry. Not much you can gain there.
When I first saw Ward vs Froch, I wasn't massively impressed...I think that was because people started hyping him up as the new Mayweather or Hopkins, and I thought that was way overboard and exaggerated. (And I still think it's a premature assessment.) I also hadn't seen much of Froch, and he didn't impress me either, aside from his heart. Now that I've seen Froch against Bute (who was apparently considered as one of the best in the division?) I understand how good Froch must be. I went back and rewatched Ward vs Froch, and I have a greater respect for Ward now too -- he completely neutralised a dangerous opponent. He was outjabbing him on the outside, and smothering him and hitting him with sharp, compact shots on the inside. His left-hook was the real key, and Froch was getting hit by that more than any other shot. I still don't think he should be compared to someone as good as Mayweather or Hopkins just yet...lets see how his career progresses. He's definitely talented and skilled, though.
Not sure why Ward fans seem so worried about a Froch rematch. I guess there was no need for a Duran-Leonard rematch since Roberto won clearly the first time around, or Frazier-Ali too. No need for Brewster-Wlad II, either. Rahman knocked Lennox the **** out the first time around, certainly no reason for them to meet up again. Ward and Froch are the best two fighters at 168. **** yes a rematch should happen!
Ward does not have to fight at 168 ever again, he can just let Froch & Kessler clean up and live off their shine.
Have you seen Leonard Duran I? Was a back and forth war. Nothing at all like the anti-climactic and one-sided Ward-Froch fight.
