Technically he's not all that and beatable, but at featherweight his strength, speed and power are dangerous and he's a dangerous fighter at feather and super feather, above 126 and 130 he's extremely overrated, he'd get his ass beat badly by Williams, Whitaker & Duran and I can't see him being even competive with the elite of 147, who's the highest all time, ranked welterweight you'd give him a chance with.
totally agree its the 'tommy hearns is the best light-middleweight of all time' even though he had only 5 lightmiddle fights. where as norris and mccallum sort of drifted to relative obscurity
Poor Pat Cowdell:-( I'll never forget this fight & at the end with Azumah being interviewed about McGuigan ENJOY:yep [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgXJgSJu_rQ[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KknIYaMmGSg[/ame]
Nothing effective about hopping around the ring and flicking out weak jabs well out of range. The Laporte fight was just an embarrassing performance.
yeah I agree with this and sean, Attell has a resume I have to rate, I don't rate greatness on h2h as much as resume, I rate ability on h2h though and I agree with Flea Man on Pacquiao's h2h ability, he's a monster if the style match up is favourable for him, if it's not, then he's not all that in the grand scheme of things h2h imo
I don't think he all that either (I think he's overrated overall) but at 126 he's a dangerous fighter and I think his performance against Barrera shows this, he did totally dominate him.
I'm inclined to believe that the Cotto performance was more impressive. I couldn't sleep afterwards, was absolutely stunned.
Absolutely:yep I was there at the MGM running my usual pissed up know-all expert gob off to all in ear shot around me that this is a step too far & it's gonna be Cotto all day & all night & gave it plenty off winks & all knowing nodding of me head at the end of the 2nd round:yep Then BANG down goes Cotto:yikes spent next 9 rounds avoiding eye contact
