I will watch it again. I watched it recently and Tyson landed a big combo after it.

I have never ranked his chin but he took Tyson's best shots.

Just reading some comments off of youtube video, some people claim he tore ligaments a week before the fight. Obviously not best people to rely on for info. Watching it again i think it's 2nd round but it's one of those where some people feel it's not a issue and for me i still feel it was. Although Danny still had to close the show.

    It is wrong.

    It was a meniscus tear.

Sometimes you can go on and the torn part can "lock" to the point it cannot move. This is where some notice the injury.

Edit: There was a lot of erroneous reporting.

As for the comments about it being horrid, this is expected.

He deffo injured the knee watching it back though, he's starts fast then halfway through first round he starts walking and it's a hampered walk imo.

A guy like that needs to be able to pivot and dip, even the knockdown imo he sorta though no point trying to get up. Everyone's different when injuries occur.

No....he tore his ligament in the first round, or the second.

You can see when he sustains the injury.

    It was'nt before the fight.

Barry McGuigan was a fan of Danny Williams, he always talked about his class as a fighter, and the magic he coiuld produce in flashes.

    Show me the footage then...?

If David Haye fought all of his career at Heavyweight at the height of Herbie Hide, Danny Williams, Michael Sprott, Audley Harrison, Juiluis Francis era....

David Haye would not been number 1 out of all these fighters, and he would of been sparked out.

David Haye was a good Crusierweight, but at Heavyweight it's a different ball game.

I remember the young hungry danny, he was looking the goods.
Was Danny hurt or more off balance when mike caught him in the first? Remind me.

The danny vs Klit fight was hard to watch, it was just a one menacing beat down!

i can remember watching danny's early fights, the bell goes and danny would run to the other mans corner throwing bombs from the off, was a breath of fresh air to see, danny and audley were level pegging at one point and then one night i returned home from the pub only for my dad and brother to tell me williams got battered by some fat turkish bloke (sinan samil sam, aint got a clue where he went?) i was gutted! the tyson fight was all about timing to be honest and the vitali fight was a mismatch, it was after that beating from vitali that i believe danny was shot.

he showed great heart in his fights but had trouble with weight issues other than that he was at the top domestically and could hold his own on the euro scene.
