How do you see a Joshua v Whyte Rematch Playing out?

Was just rewatching the first fight highlights:

If the rematch was made right now who would you back and why?

Whyte looks smaller and more erratic in that fight.

I’d back him this time round given the experience and size he’s gained since then, plus facing a current more gun shy version of AJ will give him confidence.

 

Whyte does seem more resillient now where as Joshua appears more fragile!

 

Joshua made a mistake that he is lucky he didn't pay badly for

He "fought" Whyte walking him down and got caught badly for it

All he needed to do was fight off the jab and keep it long and he would have easily destroyed him

AJ didn't Learn that lesson till he fought Ruiz.

That's how the rematch goes. AJ off the jab knocking that big bum dosser out again.

 

I dunno anything’s possible that’s why it’s interesting a proper 50/50 imo but Joshua would no doubt go in strong favourite.

 

Skybet have it priced up AJ 1/2 Whyte 6/4 that’s where the value is.

I think whyte loses 8 or 9 times out of 10 against AJ.

 

I have a different view I think Whyte will win on points maybe a knockout in the later rounds .
He is a different fighter now and is trained by Mark Tibbs . If you have been keeping an eye on things he has been in Portugal for the last two months and has lost a lot of fat . He has a strength and conditioning coach from Loughbough university based with him out there at the moment . So I think this is serious business

 

I think we’ll see more of the style Joshua used against Ruiz ll from now on. Or at lest he’ll mix that in with his backing opponents up with the jab, ‘old’ style.
Joshua should win by stoppage, middle rounds.

 

If Joshua comes in concussed again like Ruiz 1, he might have a chance. Did they ever debunk that rumour, Hearn claimed it didn't happen.

 

Dillian Whyte is my second favourite boxer, so I would love to see him win a world title.

But despite the training at Loughborough, he has still been coming in far too heavy (and I'm not even referring to the Mariusz Wach bout). Andy Ruiz was obviously too heavy, but he's not as easy to hit clean as Dillian Whyte. I only give him a chance against Anthony Joshua if he turns it into a dog fight. If he tries to box his way in, I don't give him a chance.

 

If Whyte gets into shape, he's got a shot. Joshua has lost his edge.

 

Whyte won't get a second fight. He doesn't deserve a title fight, anyway. It's just propaganda. Go look at the people he fought after the Joshua loss. The Helenius fight only looks good because the Finn overcame injuries and got back on track but at the time he was in terrible form, which is why Whyte fought him. Parker win is invalid. The short guy who KO'd Jennings, who has he actually beaten? It's all smoke and mirrors and whining from the orc and his fanclub.

But Joshua will be tied up with Fury and Wilder for some time if he beats Pulev. By that time Whyte will have taken more losses. Hopefully Povetkin ends this story.

If they do fight, it might depend on the circumstances. I could only see it happening if Joshua loses to Pulev, so in that case, perhaps the confidence is so low that Whyte actually has a shot. But I suppose it could happen after Fury/Wilder fights, years down the track and in that case it depends on whether Joshua won the majority of those fights or not. If he loses to Fury twice (with a stoppage or two in there), maybe Wilder, then perhaps he's done and Whyte can win. If he wins against Fury, Wilder, then Whyte gets smashed to pieces.
