How do you think 12th round will affect Martinez in future?

He was neither severely concussed, nor did he chicken dance.

He was hospitalized for the knee and his broken left hand. Never was a concussion reported.

 

Fighters get knocked down quite often, it's the nature of the game. Why should Martinez getting knocked down in the final round affect him in the future?

From what I've read and heard, he won the fight easily. So he got a little careless in round 12, but got up and survived------not by running and clinching, but by engaging Chavez until the final bell. That alone tells me more about his character than a single knockdown late in the fight.

Someone posted the final round video on here and I watched it yesterday. I will say, Martinez definitely invites you to hit him with his hands down and chin out but it is not as easy as it looks to get to him, and when you miss, he makes you pay.

If anything that Kd showed us what martinez is made of. Kind of glad to see him put in that situation and dig deep down to make it out of the round throwing punches and on his feet.

no affect whatsoever, he got up and took the fight to chavez. he was gassed, if anything it'll make him take a couple mid rounds off knowing he can easily win every round vs a guy like chavez.

 

If I were him I think it'd help me a great deal personally. Knowing that in the 12th round, after I did most of the fighting, being 37 years old, and got caught by a guy who outweighs me by at least 12 pounds.... I not only survived, but never had to hold, and punched him until I recovered.
I was actually yelling at my T.V. for Martinez to hold him, but Martinez was a warrior and refused. If anything it shows him something about himself. Not the smarest thing to do, but he can't question his own heart in any future fights.

 

Sergio is very strong mentally he was as if nothing happened at the end of the fight. He's the most honest fighter in the game he gave props to Jr. Idk I spoke with other fans many think this was planned to setup a second fight. Its all about the benjamns baby.
