http://www.espn.co.uk/more/sport/story/33074.html?CMP=OTC-RSS WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan has been advised to take four months of rest after being struck down by a mystery illness. The four-month break should not stop Khan fulfilling his next scheduled fight, which is expected to be against either Juan Diaz or Juan Manuel Marquez on December 11. 4 months from today is the 7th of November. That would leave Khan with a 5 week camp for the biggest fight of his career???
I'm sure 5 weeks will be more than enough time for him to prepare for a fight with Johnny Tapia, or whatever former banatmweight they get in as a replacement for the "possible" opponents mentioned so far.
Something sounds very dodgy about the illness still. I would expect him to have started light training towards the end of that 4 month though...he is a super fit athlete
thats my point. hes the sort of guy that stays in shape all year long. light training does not count as total rest does it?
supplements? lol give me a break, the kid went on holiday to egypt and went to south africa for the england games so its quite conceivable that he picked up something from there. Some of u make me laugh lol the kid gets ill and suddenly the supplemement talk comes out...... dick!
4 months is what the doc advises for normal people. Khan is an athlete. He will be able to start training sooner.
