yes fans say they want to see him be more active, but on fantasy match ups he's still everyones favourite to beat the best out there and his record and dodgy demnds hardly ever gets scrutinised Compare that to the amount of **** the likes of Danny Garcia, Froch, GGG, Kovalev and wlad recieve - active fighters who actually step in the ring with hungry lions who come to the ring in shape.
Obviously people want to see him do more. But, he did quite a bit early enough to show he is the goods. If he keeps fighting the Paul Smith types, there will be backlash, even from those who praise him. I'm sure he and his trainer are smart enough to know this, and will step things up in due time. Right now, people are on notice that the King is back.
Vitali came back from a 4 yr retirement and fought a top 3 titlist w a 90% KO rate who'd just beaten another titlist.
Because he's the best. And people know this too. That's why it gets on their nerves that he always wins.
The inverse of this is that they are held to astronomical standards as well. Floyd gets penalized for any round that does not look like a Mayweather round for example and his opponents get graded on a huge curve.
Totally agree. Making Paul Smith, Britain's 6th best Super Middle Weight and natural middleweight, coming off two losses to a shot Abraham, in his home town and he still makes him come up in weight. And then takes 9 rounds to knock him out! Can't stand the guy, my honest appraisal of him is he is a boxing leach who contributes zero to the sport, let's other fighters build fan bases and interest through entertaining then comes in and spoils the fight, takes zero risks and is just a very poor personality.
