I think Pacquiao will be too good for Hatton, but lets be honest here. If Ricky is not ready now to face Manny then when the hell will he be? Hatton is 30, has two years maximum left in the game, so for me its now or never in respect of being ready for Pacquiao. Hatton-Pacquiao might not even happen because if Mayweather returns to face Pacquiao, then maybe Manny will go with that!
Hatton is ready. Ready as he'll ever be. The PBF fight was just too big a challenge. The Lazcano fight was a tuneup after he got way out of shape and focus after getting KTFO. The Malignaggi fight was his best performance in years
No, he isn't, This fight basically come down to who is stronger, and that Pacquaio, plus his gefense is better.
Either get someone to come down from 147 or up from lightweight then. or is it just because there is no-one in that division he deserves the best of all divisions?
what happened to change your tune BOD? a week and half ago you were all "ODLH this ODLH that".. I think Hatton has a great chance of giving Pac good physical workout out of all the fighters he has faced.
I marked your words. And won't forget to remind you when the time comes... ANd you know what, i'm pretty sure you said that too when Hatton was about to fight PBF.
Malignaggi was rated number two at LWW by The Ring before fighting Hatton. Lazcano is currently rated 10 and Urango 8 at the weight. And they had Castillo number seven P4P when he fought Hatton and Mayweather number one P4P. If that's not a high enough level of competition to qualify to fight Pacquiao, then the guy's going to be struggling to find opponents...
Hatton will be physically stronger than Pac - if you don't believe that then, well..... There isn't much hope left. This will just be a slugging match - both will feel they could outbox the other but won't bother!
Hatton stands a good chance. From the Mallinaggi fight it looks like Hatton is going back to his old style of fighting and not just walking in and hugging and holding so he will be a bit more elusive and his pressure will be more effective. Also, unlike Diaz and DLH, Hatton has the speed, skills and the physical ability (he won't be weight drained) to actually hit Pac. How will Pac take getting hit by a natural 140 pounder?
I wonder how Pac will handle the rough housing and the body punching..... You look at the last 5 Hatton fights you see some good wins and 1 lost... Urango, it wasnt Ricky's fault that it was disappointing.... Urango is tough, BUT, Urango also didn't do much to try and win... Even tho I remember him throwing a good body shot that shot Ricky's attention.... Castillo, he's never been knocked out up until that point, and has since fought on and still hasn't been knocked out... Mayweather, yeah Ricky got beat.... BUT, for a period of time, he was COMPETITIVE... He was able to get to Floyd.... Lazcano isn't a easy comeback fight for anybody... He's also tough and a guy that's gonna be around for the whole fight.... Malignaggi.. Paulie just sucked that night... But Ricky did his job and made it completely one sided against a guy who can box, and is slick, and has hand speed.... Is he ready for Pac.... He's already been in with the best, why wouldn't he be ready....
