To be fair, has Crawford even beat someone on Cotto's level?

    Let me get this straight.

You're saying Porter / Spence are on the level of a Hearns or a Duran ?

    Or a Benitez or a Hagler ?

There's one person who always knew how special he was going to be. Little Rudy Huxtable knew.

Yes, but tbf, Crawford very often gives away early rounds and you then see why he did that, because you see the adjustments in real time.

Also, Porter wasn’t slow, he was very quick and unpredictable with his attacks, and he was still very good when he fought Crawford, still close to his prime and he certainly went out on a great performance and a valiant effort.

Spence also wasn’t slow, but Crawford made him look slow and predictable because he’s faster and far more versatile.

The division isn’t as strong as it was then, but a case could be made to favour peak Spence against Cotto, but even if he wouldn’t, it’s close and Crawford is levels above everyone he’s beaten at 147lbs.

Spence looked very good against Ugas, who was also still solid at the time.

Yes he got hurt when he lapsed in concentration, when his gumshield fell out and he looked back towards the ref or his corner when the ref hadn’t called time.

Yes that was Spence’s own fault, but it wasn’t a technical error in his boxing, and that’s the only part in the fight why people said ‘He wasn’t the same’, but the context of that says it wasn’t a flaw in his boxing, apart from that moment, he battered Ugas.

People say he wasn't the same because it was aparent during the ring walk. Rumor has it he was drained.
