you dont get it. the network. hbo and showtime, they are mostly in us and they do the ppv, ppv is where the money is at. atlantic city. madison square garden, staples center, cowboys stadium, ceasars, mgm....mandalay...etc.
sky do ppv...so do other networks around the globe atlantic city? msg i can agree with to, but its one arena. staples center and cowboys stadium? :rofl:rofl:rofl no offence but Upton Park (west ham) has seen bigger fights. where would you rather fight as lets say Joe calzghe...50,000+ millenium stadium....or 'the staples centre' :rofl ...all that history mandalay, mgm....all VEGAS! If i was a boxer...outside MSG and Vegas I would have zero interest, there is zero history fighting in oakland and pennyslvania. London has 100x the boxing history
okay than one final question. why isn't there 1 fight from the UK who is in the top 10 highest gross ppv? thought sky was on the same page like show or hbo.
UK PPV's don't get counted towards American PPV's such as Hatton vs Mayweather did over a millon buys in the UK yet it is only counted as 900'000 buys which were sold by HBO.
Im not sold on him at all. Hes a good fighter, and def champion material. But in terms of future p4p star and all that.... Im just not convinced. We will see though.
What I mean is on all the PPV list of the highest sales they only really seem to contain American buys. On the list Hatton vs Mayweather is one of them or Tyson vs Lewis which if you were to add UK figures they would be a bit higher up the list. Problem is though you cant compare US PPV buys and UK PPV buys though as they are priced differently, when we have PPV it is usualy priced at £ 15 which is $ 24. 23
okay, but down the line and there nobody can tell me otherwise is that if you wanna make as much $ as possible in the boxing game you have to go to states, therefore brook has to go, even if he fights in a not so big place, he makes a name for himself and if he can do that than he become richer than he has ever imagined to become. imagine back than naz would have beaten barrera, morales, marquez. he would have been the third most richest boxer ever behind tyson and de la hoya, a global icon, he wouldnt have done that on the smaller stage of uk, no matter if it had been manchester or london.
I agree that boxers generally have to go to America to make the most money for their fights. Hamed I don't think can complain about how much he made though as he was one of the highest paid boxers ever under 135 lbs.
Far enough to score some Pay-Per-Views against irrelevant fighters past their prime or at catchweights that most of us really don't give a **** about.
sure hamed cant complain, he was rich well before barrera bout. but just imagine he had trained hardcore. he coudlve beat morales, barrera....than imagine a showdown with PACQUAIO :admin:happy. no ****, that bout would have surpassed 2 million ppv buy rate. just imagine.. HAMED VS PACQUIAO :fire
Get over it, there's no need for any American to fight over there UNLESS HES BROKE OR TRYING TO GET AN OPPORTUNITY. If you don't realize this by now, I don't know what to tell you. Get your head out of your ass you ****in poof.
Im not totally sold.. He needs to prove himself against a true elite opposition before we can start talking about PPVs and all that. lol He appears to be the goods but there has been many of them before only to get knocked off as soon as they stepped under the bright lights.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Yeah its that easy to win against likes of Barrera, Morales etc 1 time he tried Hamed lost easy, Pac would KO him, Barrera beat him, Morales would beat him JMM would beat him there is nothing that would make me think Hamed would beat any of them because he never beat fighter that was even close to level of these fighters, if you disagree tell me which fighter he beat that is remotely close to level of these guys...
i would like to see him fight an elite opponent... the only quality opponent he fought was Ponce De Leon, and it was a close one.. this guy can be the future of boxing.. 2 years from now, fans will demand for a Donaire-Broner fight... two pound for pound best at a different weight class now, but there's a possibility... remember when pacquiao was in bantamweight & floyd at lightweight...
