How Far Will David Haye Go In The Heavyweight Division?

Actually, if he'd stop lifting so many damn weights he could lose a little of that bulk and make 199 with no problems.

 

The number one cruiser who fought most of his career below 180 and is an accumulation puncher who is notorious for running out of steam vs say a sturdy, skilled, hard hitting heavy with a chin like Chagaev.

 

Haye's chin will be MUCH improved at heavyweight. With him losing over 2stone for the Cruiserweight fight, he didnt have the legs or the balance.

Trust me his chin at HW will be fine.

It's not exactly the 1970s here, Haye is already the best Heavyweight in the UK, bar possibly Macarinelli. It's always been the case that those two could break the Skelton/Williams/Harrison love in.

ANd to be fair, David Haye has a few decent fighters on his resume, a loss, and is jumping up a weight...rather than fighting a string of sparring partners and looking impressive like Enzo Mac.

I think he could quite feasibly unify the division by his early thirties...the division has so little talent that Matt Skelton is a 40 year ld, fat pudgy top 10 fighter with tits. Anyone watching the Sprott fight would know That Macarinelli and Haye could have Kod the both of them in four rounds, even in a Royal Rumble format. I would deffo bet on him bagging at least one world title.

 

If he's the best heavy in the UK, his first two fights should be against Skelton and Williams. Let's put that to the test.

No he means not having to weight drain himself down 20/30 lbs will improve his punch resistance which is very true.

 

That you cannot compare Mormeck to the likes of Chagaev, Klitschko or Valuev.

 

He doesn't cut 20 or 30 pounds, he cuts about 15 at most.

 

Not thats wrong he was 217 for the bonin fight and still cut weight for that so he didn't bulk up to much as he had to get back down to the 200lb limit for the mormeck fight.

 

Why the hell would he cut weight for a heavyweight fight? That makes no sense.

 

So he didn't have to lose so much when fighting at cruiserweight as it is quite hard to drop 20/30 lbs. He has said before he weighs 230lbs outside the ring.

 

That doesn't mean he would fight at 230. That means when he isn't training for a fight he weighs 230. I expect him to weigh 220 as a heavy.

 

I know but that means he drops 20/30 pounds and not the 15 at most you said.
