Gotta disagree, Holyfield, Jirov, and Gomez all did more at this weight. Haye won the titles from McCormack, and Maca and now hes leaving, to short a stay and most fights at the european level, including the loss to Carl Thompson for the IBO title.

I think the key will be proper matchmaking. He needs to be put against guys who can't overwhelm him with size.

I want him to face Povetkin and see how he fares. But since he is a newbie in the HW division, we don't have anything to grade him. The HW division is now controlled by giants. I think another divison should be created, the Superheavy Weight Division, 220lbs and up.

SHW will never happen. HW is the most prestigious class in the sport even if its dead and wide open right now. making super heavy would be a slap in the face

I actually agree with you. It's just a wishful thinking. That's why Haye will have a very difficult time in the HWD because the fighters here are a lot bigger and stronger than him. Let's see in the future. I hope I'm wrong. He will be good for the HWD if ever he succeeds.

Devastating power in his straight right hand, decent quickness. Average everything else and horrible defense. He looks for the one punch and he will get a rude awakening in the heavyweight division.

If haye can ko a 200 lb. Toney, as long as Toney feels he is in shape, that is my test. Sam peter could'nt stop Toney. If Haye can box good enough to ko Toney, and look good doing it, Haye can box good enough to negate much of his size disadvantage. Jimmy Young could'nt bang but he could box. He beat Ali and Big George. He just did'nt get the decision against Ali. It is still called boxing for a reason!

Haye has been sparring with heavyweights for years. hes a heavyweight.

They will move in slow motion compared to him. See how much time he had to get his shots off against Bonin?

His defence is based on head movement and footwork and is VERY underrated. He rarely gets hit flush by fast cruisers and is an expert at slipping jabs.

He sticks and moves with his shotgun jab against the superheavies then softens up there fat bellies he can knock them all out. No good being 250 pounds if your slow as ****. There hasnt been an athlete like Haye with power yet to fight these meatheads. Wait and see, they are all getting knocked out, Wlad will be his only competition
