In my opinion, he does have what it takes to be elite. He has lost 2 fights, one decision against Mousasi, and one decision against Gono (that I think he should have won). He has a very good winning streak of 13 or 14 fights. And he is strong as a bull, literally.
It's really tough to say until there's an inter-promotional unification - or a top middleweight comes to Bellator - or Hector goes somewhere else. He looks like a beast so far.
His name has been popping up since Mousasi became big news. I am eager to see Lombard make a big step up. The record is pretty, some wins are good, he's done well in small orgs but I want to see him in SF.
