I stand by what I said about idiots. If he is a bum then he is a rich history making bum. Enough said.
Perhaps going straight back in shows his warriors heart after all he is not an idiotic key board warrior.
Loooool!! Get over yourself mate what's wrong with you... Did him getting beat really have such a bad effect on you, it happens fella and you really shouldn't take it too seriously.
The main objective behind the Matchroom narrative was PPV Loot and even more PPV Loot - Eh Day played a blinder getting him 12 huge bags of PPV Loot when only the Klitschko and Usyk fights were PPV material. Those poor PPV Mugths got done over and over again starting with Dullian Whyte for the British Title then Grade A Puddings; Martin, Breazeale, Molina, Takam then Grade B Puddings; Parker, Pulev, Pedvetkin and a double helping of Roly Poly Pudding Andy Ruiz. That cohort of PPV Mugths have forked out £250 for 10 puddings - Eh Day Earn is a genius.
You've nailed it mate. Big Josh was a fantastic marketing ploy outside of the ring, but ultimately when you strip away all the packaging and hype, whats left in the ring is a guy who's best win is a toss up between slow joe parker on points or morbidly obese andy ruiz on points. Basically hughie fury level. For context, PRIME Delboy Chisora - the third or fourth best win on Fury's resume - would arguably be Josh's best win. (VLAD is the biggest name on Josh's record but that win will age terribly in a historical context for all the obvious reasons.) The rest of big AJ's resume is pure second division filler. No amount of eddie hearns parroting "breazeale molina parker takam etc etc" will alter that. The only ELITE guy he has been in with, who he held ridiculous height reach and weight advantages over, as well as home advantage, he still got utterly schooled and nearly stopped by. And will inevitably get cold KOed in the rematch. The matchroom fanatics must be rubbing their eyes and wondering just how long they've been asleep for.
He's a christmas pudding in Harrods packaging, costs £35 but you can get the identical pudding in Lidl for £4.99
He hasn't needed to be good and here is why..... 1) Hearn is the best in the business and has made him into a global superstar by conning the casuals for years. 2) he hasn't beaten anybody in their prime ànd won vacant belts or belts from very very poor champions 3) Howard ****ing I'm a crook Foster had AJ 2 rounds up after 8 rounds!!!! That tells you all you need to know, AJ is a better than average fighter but has been blessed being giving a Olympic gold.because it was in London and has had the best promoter in the business guiding his career, without them 2 things he would have been found out long ago.
Great posts. I like "Slow Joe Parker", I might start mixing that in with Paint Dry Parker. What's doing the rounds daily on the forum is the "top 10" record spiel. Joshua apparently has the "deepest record" because of names like Pulev. For me, it's a moot point. We absolutely must have to discard Martin, Molina, Breazeale and Takam. Everybody knows that they are terrible. They are all crap names on the record. That leaves Joshua with Whyte, Klitschko, Parker, Ruiz, Povetkin and Pulev. Whyte, who had never faced anybody decent at that point and had no experience headlining a card. He was out of shape and ended up knackering his shoulder half way in to the bout and subsequently needed surgery. Joshua did a fancy dance in the bout and came through. A good win, I suppose, but it's Whyte who was far from full strength and even then he is referred to as a British level pudding on this forum (I disagree with that). In London. Old Klitschko, a very good win, but the weakest Klitschko had ever been. Spun as the best Klitschko because he was in an entertaining life and death bout (by way of Joshua being chinny, one-dimensional and gassy). If Klitschko had been in there with that Usyk he would've been completely outclassed and then stopped in tidy fashion. In London with dodgy judges. Parker - Absolutely crap. Paint Dry at his toothless best and had a good excuse with the dodgy referee. A skidmark of a "fight". In UK. Old Povetkin - Had just been dropped by David Price of all people. Clearly not at his best and was never that good anyway. He looked like a killer at one stage because of how crap the division was. In London. Ruiz - Beat an even fatter Ruiz who genuinely makes the Michelin man look like a fitness enthusiast. Neutral venue - Saudi, fitting for a lifeless bout and totally lifeless atmosphere. Old Pulev - Stood in the middle of the ring with his hands up and tried to throw a straight right every so often. Crap. In UK. A record should be balanced with losses and he has lost to Ruiz which is an embarrassing loss for someone touted so highly. Only time he's boxed in America and he's a 32 year old superstar. Strange. He was battered and thrown round the whole ring like a ragdoll. Gave up at the end. Totally outclassed by Usyk who has barely any experience at heavyweight. In London. I appreciate that nobody else in the division has an amazing, deep record. But nobody is propagating that they do. Fury has better wins and he has never lost. He clearly has the better record. He is also not afraid to step outside of the UK.
At the moment? Probably #3 at least until the up-and-comers actually 'come', or if Wilder pulls the upset. I thought he was overrated before Usyk and that fight hasn't lowered my opinion, Usyk is just much better. Historically? Hard to compare as things are different now ... he's probably one of the best-managed and best-promoter heavyweights in history. I don't think he'll be remembered as a great unless he, against my widest expectations, manages to beat Usyk in a non-luck-based manner. If he wins some good fights against other top tens he might inflate his position: which is what he should do rather than the rematch.
Surely his stock has not fallen that low. I would regard him on a similar level to Frank Bruno - non elite World Champions.
Professional Boxing is about making money full stop. They all want to make the money. Nobody got done over. They have enjoyed it.
