I see Valuevs ability to take a shot as being the key to the outcome of the fight

Can anyone shed a little more light

    We'll soon find out.

Don't think he's ever fought a puncher like Haye.

He's been 'stunned' but not 'hurt'. I'd say Ruiz buzzed him, got his attention. Never really hurt in the true boxing sense where his legs have been gone and he's been close to being put down.

Interesting stuff, in that case do you think Haye has to outpoint Valuev by using his speed, or do you think the reach is just too big?

He has a very good chin. I have seen him stunned a couple of times, but he has shown good durability.

Yeah i think Chagaev also had him like that before. I think its going to take a solid beating before Valuev goes down

Ive had a look at NV record and the KO's are in short supply, so it very much looks as if it will be a case of who can outbox who.

Not really, its pretty obvious he's an average puncher by heavyweight standards. He kinda makes up for it by punching often, but he's never stopping a good durable fighter.

My theory is his handspeed is too slow to generate anything other than solid power. You can't get a real snap in a punch like that.

If he puts Haye on his ass I lose any hope of Haye beating the Klitschko's. It's not just a matter of punch resistance or durability, or the fact Valuev is a pretty poor puncher, but the key for him is supposed to be the relative speed difference between him and his opponents. People talk about the 'Matrix', but in all seriousness it is supposed to look like that against Valuev if he has any hope of outmaneorering a Klitschko.

He's got to show tangible evidence of this speed and boxing skill he keeps talking about, because power alone does not do ****. Plenty of people have power.

It's far from granite...Youve just got to be able to reach the ****er.
This is a graet fight for Haye imo.

I have never seen Valouev hurt, not one time. Who does Don King want to win this fight? Valouev can punch really hard whenever he so wants and he does not have to fear Haye's punching power. Haye is afraid for both Vitali and Vlad.

You need to watch more fights if you have never seen him hurt. If Ruiz caan stun and hurt him im sure someone with hayes predator killing instincts can hurt him.

Fighting Valuev is a good move as he was Vitali's preferred opponent originally.

If Haye beats Valuev that puts him in a better bargaining position.

Valuev has enough power to keep people on the outside for sure.
